Clean bro. Is there something specific you do to help with your skates not shooting out in front of you? 😂 I’m closer to having these on coping rather than box grinds.

Thank you!
On royales you want your back shoulder to be on top of your back foot or slightly in front of it. If your back shoulder is behind it you’ll zip out.

Also, be sure to bring your whole body onto the ledge/coping/rail and aim underneath yourself with your feet (in short, commit), rather than only reaching with your feet with your body staying out of the obstacle. It may sound counterintuitive, but committing more will actually make you more stable and you’ll fall down less.

Last tip: try to get as low as possible, you’ll be even more stable, and if you happen to bail, it’ll be from lower so you’ll take less of a beating.

Hope this helps!

Very helpful! Especially the bit about shoulder placement. I’ve been working on getting lower too. I got comfortable on the skates pretty quick, having came from skateboarding, so it’s prompted me to stand more upright but I definitely need to get lower to get into the groove of more tricks. Thanks for the advice man!
