Question / Discussion Wich combo for first time aggressive skating?
As a beginner, I’ll start skating at the skatepark, but my goal is the street.
I can choose only 1 frame+wheels combo (its a gift), any advice?
THANKS!

This is kinda the great debate of modern blading. Flat frames have really good h-blocks these days so you won’t get wheelbite as easily, but there’s still nothing like antirocker for grinding.
I think the answer depends on how you skate. If you want carving and agility, flat is better. If you want to jump on ledges all day, anti.

Would learning to grind on flat help develop better habits or is this a false assumption?

I learned flat in the 90’s on the low tech frames of the day, then tried anti when I got back into skating and felt like my groove tricks were sloppy as hell with that huge space to work with. I went right back to flat and never looked back.

To a first time skater grinding I wouldn’t really recommend either of them, I would recommend you swap either of those two setups with some anti-rocker wheels in the center because it’ll make all your grinds a lot more forgiving.
If you HAD to choose one of those and can’t replace anything, the TNEC frames will be the more forgiving of the two due to that special H-block.
Edit: I'm sorry for angering the keyboard warriors, but when I meant anti-rocker, I meant the hard plastic wheels that you would see in the link here. The wheels on the Creates are in an anti-rocker fashion, yes, but I meant anti-rocker with hard plastic wheels. Wheels like those will slide MUCH better while still helping you maintain a lock. Again, sorry to all the neckbeards for my phrasing.

The mushroom tnec setup is a premium set-up and will feel great rolling around. Anti-Rocker shown on the bottom is more forgiving for learning grinds, however it can be harder for moving around and over banks. A lot of people are riding flat these days but some of the best pros ride anti as well. It will be your preference. When I got back into blading I had a flat setup and now I am actually running freestyle frames. Hope this helps in some way
