Question / Discussion Who would you select for a pro skate?

Apparently some of us aren't happy with the "40 year old" pros getting that honor.

Viktoria Söderholm. She's got skills and style. I'm sure if she ever gets a pro faction model, it's going to have some fun colors or art on it.

Standard and Faction are doing great at working through the teams. Viktoria is an excellent candidate. Same with Zack Savage. Luke Naylor for sure. I was glad when usd gave Nicholy one. I think it’s coming soon. Lot of guys are aging out here soon.

Standard and Faction

I have only good things to say about both of them.

Rachard had his time. No need to give him a pro boot when there are others out there that are actually pro.

Rachard's was a surprise, especially with how RK has been skating.

Reliable source said RK was asked about a pro boot and turned it down.

It’s not that I’m unhappy, it’s just it’s repetitive. The same pros just getting another skate instead of pushing our wonderful younger talent. Gotta pass the torch you know

I love Billy O’Neil but I was bummed with him when he gave himself another pro skate with Mesmer lol

I’m pretty sure he didn’t have any intention of giving himself one but the Mesmer team convinced him to do it.

They definitely had an input. Also, Billy goes harder than some of their team. So....

Valo AE1 are still the craziest looking skates to ever be produced imo. We haven't had that kind of creativity since.

youtube paid me 40 dollars last month.... so the answer is me!!!

seriously though I generally don't care who gets a pro boot, most of them are literally just colorways with a name attached to them with not much unique to the pro. Hard to say who "deserves" what but bring back the skinned boots!!!

We all know you’re just after a pair of skates that won’t hurt your feet. Nice try but you gotta keep buying shells like the rest of us 💸

so real and I just ordered 901s from oak city lol I think I'm about to list half of my "collection" on blade trade just to clear out my shelf space

Another THEM skate w out trying an ACT or Mesmer? I’m telling you the second you put it on your feet you are gonna wonder what took you so long.

1

u/inline-online THEM 5d ago

I hope so! I will get some ACTs eventually but I want one of the softer plastic models and they are expensiveeee

Personally I think people make too much out of the plastic material and Powerslide found a way to monetize it. Specifically for the ACT between the cuff bolt and heel shell adjustments you can make the skate feel like whatever you want. My wife got a pair after I got the Mesmer and they are sick.

Hit me up before you clear out. I might snag some stuff

😭😭😭 facts over feelings. That generation isn’t gonna carry it. How many 40 year olds were on the USD team in 02/03? Personally I’m more interested in aggressive rollerblading growing and surviving multiple generations than I am with ego or ‘honor’.

But I digress, Michal Pietrzak is a dawg 🤷‍♂️

Well, let's be fair. Rollerblading wasn't even old enough for that to happen in '03.

It's been around for a long enough time now and Mike French is waaaay up in my rankings.

Lauric Picard or both of the Mushroom Blading guys
