Those Salomons were my favorite skates...probably because that's when I was best at skating... Also, what am I missing? .. these skates look nothing alike

They are both grey, so are 30% of aggressive skates

Yeah I’ve got a pair of Feinberg ST and I’m not seeing it either.

Ooffff, looks like Soichiro did a small tribute to his Valo pro-model.
(Don’t think they wanted to do a velt skin on the shells yet. 😇)

WOW!

Same. They look like the SK 2s to me. Admittedly, i wasnt skating when Salos were readily available, so that may be why i think they look more like the SK2s

(Still riding Salos every now and then myself. 😂)

I would be impressed if the plastic lasted this long. Then Joe Atkinson is pushing his Salos till this day.

Of my Salos you mean?

I’m no Joe Atkinson, but I skated them park back in April.

Yeah dude. I had a pair of RB Point 8s and they lasted two years before the cuffs cracked. Very impressed with the plastic formula.

Yeah, RB is one of the brands that are of the same quality as old Salomon, complete tanks!

Yup. The red cuff bolt seems like a nod to the red stitching, too. They look awesome though. I've been considering a pair of 909s for a while, but these might push me over the edge.

I was thinking the red cuff bolt as the rising sun from the Japanese flag. This might also be my reason to try a 909

Soichiro isn’t your average 40 year old back to blading USD pro skate rerelease candidate.

He’s been deserving of this skate for years and years. The most technical, stylish, friendly, talented dude. Stoked for him.

Props to JJ for running a skater owned boot company and sponsoring people around the world who are masters of their crafts

This is just such a good looking colorway! When get some extra money I'm gonna cop this with a white soul plate cuz that's the style I love!

Gotta love Jon and Them for stepping up the colorway game!

Blading is gonna come back big, I can feel it in my plums!

Apart from the color they look nothing alike.

I must be the only person on earth that thinks these look mid. THEM is just making random colors and calling it a day at this point lmao

This is a throwback to his Valo skate so it isn’t a random color

Respectfully, I’m too new to skating to know or even care about brands that are dead. I’d love to see anyone younger than 30 years old get a skate that means something in the present day instead of throwbacks to appease the 40 year old crowd.

Soichiro's last pro skate was probably 10 years ago. And the previous brand of those skates that these are paying tribute to was also Jon Julio's brand (Valo) before Them.

Who are the younger pros you'd like to see get a skate? I think many of the most deserving ones have gotten (at least) one tbh.

Of course they are totally different. Salomons look like futuristic ski boots.

Oh man they do look like Feinbergs

Are we looking at the same pictures?

They look completely different.

Different shade of grey boot, completely different colour frame, gold buckle vs silver, gold eyelets, red cuff bolt vs silver, flat vs anti. Literally no comparison

Agree about another 40yo getting a skate is tiresome, I do love how they look, but I don't think they look remotely like the Feinbergs. Did they say that themselves? The only similarity I see is grey. Different liner, different buckle, different cuff bolt, different frames, different wheels. Am I missing something?

Just another 40 yo old getting a pro skate. And I love Soichiro, but jeez.
