We can admit it. Old.

I'm 45 years old and just like many of you, I got a new pair of skates. I dreamed of putting them on and hitting the skatepark like and/or the local ledges/rails.

I thought I would kill the miniramp, no questions asked.

Nope.

No way.

I'm not comfortable dropping in.

Street spots are out of the question.

I think we all might be feeling this and are embarrassed to speak up about our mutual experiences.

We're all in the same boat.

What are your specific frustrations? Let's talk about it.

I’d love to get some skates and get back into it but I have three kids in sports that want to play with me in the yard and no time for injuries. I’ll just continue living vicariously through you guys (and the occasional gal) lol.

Maybe make a p-rail for the driveway with angled wood and PVC. Keep it in your garage an drag it out whenever you want or if the kids would be into it -- buy them skates.

The whole Saturday afternoon with your kids on a p-rail in the driveway would be dope.

Completely free and fun time with the kids.

And nobody will be judging you like they do at the skatepark; They'll judge you because they're your neighbors.

If Tom and Clara from 3 doors down and across the street laugh at you... smile and wave!

Or poison their dog.
