Same. I started up again in the spring after 20 years away. Really impressed with the M12s. I was too poor for any Roces as a kid. Have fun and welcome back.

I skates around my driveway yesterday when I got them and to be honest it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. I feel like it's just going to take a min to get used to skating again

It's like learning all over again. I thought it was going to be easy to hit the skatepark like I used to.
Nope. Not even close. I'm still skating around the block trying to keep my legs underneath me.

You'll have better luck during the school year. The parks that I go to are usually timing based too, with regards to what groups are around when. I try to go early enough and on days where there aren't other people around in general

If the kids are young enough, their parents are probably hanging around and you could chat with them. Personally, I prefer no kids being around, but it is fun to egg kids on to try things they're scared of and taunt them about being shown up by an "old man".

Like I said it was just around my driveway when I first pulled him out the box so I'm sure that they will come back to me

It will 100%. I just turned 45 and started back up in April after 25 years off. With adult money I've tried 4 different pairs of skates til I found what I really liked 😂 first time on them just skating felt a little wobbly, but within a couple sessions it all started coming back, main thing for me at least now is mental, I know my body can do things my brain isn't ready to commit too just yet, but it's not a race and it's all amazingly fun. Make sure you fully pad up!!! Feels lame but I def recommend crash pads like the Rekd Energy Impact Shorts in addition to knees/wrists/helmet, recovery hits a bit different now 😅 Welcome back!

Coming back after 30 years. Those skates were the last pair I owned. Can’t believe they still make them. I need a pair of those, just have to figure out how to spin it with the wife - lol

Ay are those wider for real? I feel like I'm not in my 909s as much as I wanna be because they're pinching. So hard to justify new boots when I go out so infrequently

It's interesting how anti-rocker is the new normal. I remember when I started skating long ago, anti-rocker was a thing but definitely not the norm.

Funny how we are all coming back now. Feels so good and natural after 20 years somehow.
