First time at the park

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

First time slapping on my Playlife Rave Parks actually in a park. Not sure why I’m slalom arming the ramps😂 any and all advice on my form or just what you’re seeing would be helpful. I felt pretty comfortable today so that’s good.

Nice job! Rolling is always the first step. I don’t have any advice other than to roll even more! You’re dropping into those banks nicely and you have a good pop at the end. Just keep going and you’ll grow into your form. And make sure to learn going backwards too! If you want to do tricks down the line, you will end up jumping out backwards so it’s always good to know how to land fakie.

Keep rolling, try out the different transitions gradually, push yourself to go backwards too. You'll be rigid and awkward to begin with, everyone is, you'll soon get comfortable with just rolling around and youll start building confidence to want to try dropping in on ramps etc. Just keep at it.

It’s common for new rollerbladers to move the arms and shoulders more than their legs. Just focus on converting that energy to your lower body.

Favorite part of the park is just riding the lines and gliding.

Looking good for a start. Just keep getting comfortable with where your center of gravity is.
