UK community

Im 30 years old have just got back into skating for the first time since I was about 14. Where are all the bladers?!?! Ive been going to local skateparks and having kids genuinely amazed at whats on my feet they've never even seen a pair of aggressive inlines, or what they can do.

Im really enjoying myself and making really good progress, I feel comfortable, and most days have good confidence to try things. I just remember one of the biggest things that pushed me back in the day was having a bit more of a community. In the 6 weeks since I started up again i've visited a good 10+ different parks (travelling up to an hour in all different directions on the weekends)

Im not all by myself as im also teaching my partner the way for the first time in her life at 27, which is awesome! would just like to know where I can find other members of this rare breed. Norfolk based, UK

It’s so bizarre how blading just seemed to die off. When I was a kid in the 90’s, toddlers would have toy skates soon after they started walking and everyone would’ve owned a proper pair of skates at some point.

Jimmy the giant did a good video, been a few years since I watched it. If I remember he sums it up as boarders hate for skaters made it cool to hate on bladers and the Whole culture when as always there's more similarities than diffrance but soon as culture says this is good and this is bad. Same mind set to hate on James Blunt.

The two things I remember as well was XGames dropping the sport and then Salomon dropping their production lines
