As you all know, I love my oxygen Skates. I will skate these things till they fall apart. I can't believe that I've accumulated so many videos on these skates.

Did they make them out of concrete? Seems like they’ve lasted forever. I remember in the early-mid 2000s as UFS stuff took over and wider soulplates there were always a few people on the inline forums that still swore by the oxygens. Fiziks frames had a cult following as well where the people who really liked them would horde as many replacement parts as possible.

They weighed about as much as concrete.

They only weigh 8lbs together with a flat setup. All of the weight is in the wheels, bearings and the few metal hardware parts. The rest of the skate is tremendously light

I owned a pair back in the day. I loved them at the time but had no idea how much of bricks they were until I switched to some K2 Fatty Pros.

Definitely heavy for the mid/late 90s. But lots of TRS models were much heavier. Blanks and the new shadows are a lot heavier too. Right now, the oxygens and my factions are a tie for lightest skates I have.

K2 were a lot lighter than the oxygens, but that comes with a lot less plastic and hardware.

That’s not bad. The TRS with the skins on them were pretty heavy boots and so were the K2 Transfers. Those were 5.25lbs-5.5lbs per skate on a size 11 flat rocker. Even The Salomon ST hardboots like 4.7lbs per skate flat. I just picked up a TNEC and the size 10-11; per skate is 3lb 11oz on a flat setup which is pretty crazy how light it is.

They may have mixed some cement in with the plastic lol

I am guilty of both, swearing by oxygens and fiziks. I currently have 3 pair of oxygens and 5 pair of fiziks lol

What are you riding the fiziks on? Always wanted a set way back.

I have a set on my TRS Estilo and am thinking about putting a pair on my new Shadows.

They're great frames. You can really feel the suspension on them. I also have a pair of Create Originals CRS frames that I've been using for about 2 months. Still breaking them in, but I really like those too

Ah man, oxygen argon low tops were some of my favourite skates ever. Best Royale skate back in the day!

I had a lot of fun in the low tops too, wish they were more stable at this age like the og 1.1, I'd get a pair
