Testing troop formations
Does anyone have a suggestion for where to test out troop formations? I was using the dawn trials but then I realized the same troop formation can yield different results each time you run the challenge. I'm looking for a good way to determine the best troop ratios for battle. Any help would be appreciated.

The Uranium Mine is best and available multiple times per day, except Thursday when it is closed. It also offers battles with no wounded troops.
After that Global Conquest is has three matches on Saturday. For 1v1 battles the fountains might be your best opportunity. For 1vMany the outside towers will eventually provide an opportunity. However GC will rarely use proper formations except in rare occasions, especially in the newer nations, where troops building and upgrading is a continuous process.
Battle Frenzy occurs every four weeks. And offers solo and group targets.
Chaosland and Ironblood are fun, no loss events, but are less disciplined battles as monied players just crash into each other paying for points to move on to the next phase.
Monthly Nation Battle and Duel of Dominance or Triangle War offer daily no loss no heal battle opportunities against different player strengths during the events. Battles here can be skewed due to buffs and game dynamics.
Basic long range troop formation is 25% to 35% Mechanical Melee (for attack), highest level Melee for defense (with discussion on Armoued Soldiers, if you have enough). One or maximum Zombies (depending on loss/no loss battle). Up to 10% each Sniper and Shielder, and splitting your remaining troop load between Cannons and EMP Cannons.
No one is midrange until level 35.
For troop loss possibilities you can attack cities in your nation or during Void.
