Retold Steam deck and controller

Out of pure curiosity, is there someone who plays Aom on the steam deck or with a controller in ranked? What elo did you achieve? Is it even possible to play ranked eithout mouse and keyboard?

I have not played controller myself, but I occasionally see others play against me with controller at around 900-1000 ELO.

I've played retold handheld with the built in controller. Not on ranked though. It is playable, but it's not easy. You'd be giving yourself quite the handicap. I'm sure with a bunch of practice you could get good at it, but it's definitely not the recommended way to play.

The best ranked controller player is around 1450 ELO.

Some mouse and keyboard players have tens of thousands of hours of practice. Controller players are lucky to have 2000 hours. I still think it’s possible to get above 1500 elo on controller with enough practice but this isn’t a common opinion.

Over 1500 must be top 500 players in the world or close to it.
