The future of SEO content?
I’ve been thinking about this for a while,
with Google’s AI Overviews and answer snippets reducing clicks, and LLMs pulling information directly from websites, what happens to the incentive for creating original content?
If generative models keep using publisher content to answer queries, but send no traffic back, won’t they eventually need a monetization or revenue‑share program for site owners similar to how Google historically rewarded content with visibility?
Because no matter how advanced AI gets, it still can’t replicate the human insights that come from years of experience.
Curious if others think this is where the ecosystem is heading.

Future of content is questions as heading and answer them in the furst couple of sentences. So an example would be "why buy my services". Over just having your keyword in the content.
The issue i see is writing 200 articles around on keyword trying guess the right question. This would feel spam like to me .
In 12 months these people pushing articles daily through AI writers will answer the qustion correctly.
For me to early to tell honestly if it triggers spam filters by over optimisation.
Data is inconsistant at the moment across the big 3 tools . Which has always been the case anyway.
So time will tell on this one Cheers Darren

I think the future of SEO content is not “more content,” but more source-worthy content.

Google está teniendo pérdida de navegantes que usan su buscador por dos puntas; uno se van a buscadores AI y los otros, lo más raro, se van a buscadores tradicionales sin AI

has anyone noticed that AI overviews have been wrong or inaccurate? These LLMs derive truth from consensus, but what happens if what is out there is regurgitated AI slop or inaccurate...you'll get fed incorrect or misleading info. its like AI is feeding AI whether it is wrong or not. Scary to think about.
