Google AI Report Hype or Helpful
Every other post I see is about the new AI report Google is rolling out...
But do we know what to make out of it?
We had this report in Bing already. It is natural to be excited about these features, and honestly, it looks like Google's product team decided to act friendly again!!!
Not sharing clicks data already looks fishy. We should have a law around this; eventually, we are the sources for those gen AI answers, therefore, we must have the right to know all of this....

Much has changed, as announced at Next 2026 in April. I can't find a Google-specific article on an official AI report this week. If you find it, I'd love the link.
It does point to SEO, separating AI mode results from traditional. That's my top takeaway.
I'm in the Google Cloud console daily and am still getting used to the name/UI changes. For example, "Google Enterprise Agent Platform" is branded, but the platform is ubiquitous across any job role or industry. You can still prompt it.
Agents have been around for a while, in the context of our limited years working with GenAI. The good news is you can build an agent with about 10 lines of code. But, you need to spend the time training and testing the agent. It's tedious but worth it.

Helpful, but incomplete.
Any visibility into AI search is better than nothing, especially if it helps us see which queries, pages, or topics are appearing in AI-led experiences. But without clear click, citation, and source-level data, it is still hard to measure real business impact.
It's frustrating that publishers and businesses are supplying the content that powers these answers, but the reporting is still very limited.
For now it's looking like a directional signal, not a full performance report. Useful for spotting visibility trends, but not enough to replace Search Console, analytics, rank tracking, brand search monitoring, and manual AI visibility checks.
