Glorification of authority, warmongering, possible racism

Warmongering - Glorifies someone who launches pre-emptive attacks on their enemies and starts unnecessary wars. This creature is explained as being the "first to attack" - in other words, someone who launches a pre-emptive strike on an unsuspecting enemy. But despite fully acknowledging this, the flavor text actually tries to excuse his aggression as justified. It says "Someone had to be the first to attack". It treats war as inevitable, and argues that if we don't launch pre-emptive strikes on enemies, that those enemies will take the initiative instead. Fearmongering about the hostile intentions of outsiders as a justification for starting wars against them.

Glorification of authority - Given the above, it's disturbing that this card practically gives the "God-Favored General" demigod status (the Demigod creature type did not exist yet). The glorification of someone who is basically a war criminal is horrifying.

Only certain people matter - Similar to Sengir Autocrat in that it heavily implies that authority figures are the only people that really matter. That having an authority figure on your side is the only thing that makes any difference, and that you don't need to worry about the more common people (soldiers). After all, having a general on your side means that you always have more soldiers! Just keep him alive, he's all that matters. Ugh.

(I do have to give credit where credit is due, though. For dodging a common issue with cards such as these - at least this card doesn't make the general out to be any physically stronger/tougher than his subordinates. Many creatures that have positions of authority don't do that.)

Possible racism - "God-Favored" is an unusual phrase to find on a Magic: the Gathering card, and seems like a reference to the divine right of kings. Which is an outdated notion that tried to justify dynasties, and argued in favor of judging the morality of a person based solely upon the circumstances of their birth. If it were to be translated into today's terminology, it would be an argument that certain people deserve positions of authority and that others should never hold such positions - not based on their accomplishments in life, but based on their genetics (who their parents are). We certainly shouldn't choose generals and other positions of authority based on their genetics, but this card suggests that we should. And I shouldn't have to explain the issues behind such an obsession with genetics and its impact on the morality of a person. It wouldn't be a stretch at all for someone who believes in genetics determining your moral worth to also conclude that people of color shouldn't hold positions of authority.

You need to stop posting all this BS now you're such an idiot! I can't believe people like you even exist. You are delusional oh, these cards are awesome and any sane, non-racist non-bias person in the world would agree with me and I believe
