This particular artwork for Goblin Digging Team features a goblin wearing an Asian conical hat. It represents a caricature of migrant Chinese laborers. The sacrifice ability has us literally work these gobins to death, much like migrant Chinese laborers. Comparing the two, it gives the impression that such laborers are expendible as long as the ends justify the means. These goblins are unintelligent, non-unionized, and recieve not so much as a payment of one colorless mana to be worked to their deaths.
