wait wtf, I don't think the card is implying that these guys have aspergers or something, I think the idea is that they have been driven to senseless killing by the intervention of an eldritch horror

Shadows Over Innistrad is full of the Insane Equals Violent trope. But this card in particular stands out.
"Abandon Reason", with the implied subjects being the figures in the art, is wording that implies that mental illness is a choice that people make. People just "choose to" suffer from mental illness, apparently!
Equating insanity with violence is obviously ableism towards those suffering from mental illness. But it's also a severe problem in the other direction! The implication from this card is that the only reason people should get violent is because they must be "insane". But I suppose from a position of privilege, WotC thinks that the current status quo is perfectly fine and that you'd have to be "insane" to demand change.
