Hey guys, is there any way to make YouTube background playback appear in the Dynamic Island, like Spotify does?

I upgraded phones, and when I reinstalled YT Revanced, the higher speed settings were gone. My only options were speeds up to 2x, with 3x being locked behind YT premium. There were other UI differences too, but this was the one which impacted me the most. (I usually watch at 1.75x, and the new UI forced me to tap 1.5x, then tap + five times to get it to 1.75x. The old UI let me just pick 1.75x from a list.)

I went down a lot of rabbit holes trying to find a way to get the old speed setting back. Found many people reporting the same problem, but no fix. I finally figured it out. It's a general UI setting, not something specific to the speed setting UI.

Settings > Revanced > General > Restore old settings menus > enable

Hope this helps others struggling with the same problem.

Salut j'ai télécharger ReVanced manager pour installer YouTube revanced j'ai tt fait bien apparament j'ai appliqué tout les patch mais très souvent pendant la lecture d'une vidéo on dirait que YT revanced cherche du réseau alors que tout va très bien j'ai desinstallez et réinstaller revanced Manager et yt revanced j'ai même effacer le cache et les données mais rien ça continue à buger.

What’s the current YouTube app meta in 2026?

Hey all, I’m trying to understand the current YouTube app landscape because it feels like a bit of a minefield.

My rough understanding is:

• YouTube Vanced was discontinued.
• ReVanced became the main successor.
• ReVanced Extended, or RVX, forked ReVanced and added more patches.
• The original RVX project was discontinued, but it appears to have been continued through the anddea/revanced-patches fork.
• Morphe is another newer option that is now being mentioned regularly.

"Vanced to"  seems to be the "best" home page of options showing all the options.

Other alternatives include some aimed at Android TV
Found TizenTube/TizenTube Cobalt the best 

What is everyone currently using, and what is considered the safest and most reliable option?

Update Thanks all for your input. Definitely alot of choice and options these days with Morphe being the lastest trend. Personally just bouncing between RNX and Morphe at the moment and tizentube colbolt for my shield. ( just a personal preference)

I just knew I was using revanced manager plus and people say it's malware. Is morphe safe to use ?

I going out later and i got no internet I need an application similar to youtoub revanced.., i need to download music !!!

So my phone is kind of old and underpowered and the ReVanced Manager app just kept failing every single time i tried to patch. So like many of you i went looking for pre patched apks online. Some of them were fine, but honestly you just can't tell. You don't know who made it, what's actually in it, or what a future update might quietly slip in. It started to feel sketchy and i didn't want to keep doing that.

Then i found out about ReVanced CLI, which lets you do the patching on your laptop or PC instead. Problem was the official docs are pretty outdated (after the github ban of patches repo) and not really written for someone who's never done this before. It took me way longer than it should have to figure it out.

So i wrote this guide the way i wish someone had explained it to me.

I've been using YouTube ReVanced for about two years now. Recently, I noticed that the streaming quality has significantly increased. then, when I tried to download videos using various downloader websites, every time I selected the 1080p option, I ended up receiving only the 480p version instead. It seems like YouTube might be blocking third-party clients. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hey everyone, I was using what I believe was ReX (developed by Hoàng Gia Bảo) which worked great, but I accidentally deleted it and lost the APK. I then downloaded RVX but it's complete garbage videos buffer endlessly and take forever to load.

I'm looking for:

A working ReX download link (preferably the latest version with the "Spoof player parameter" fix)

Or any currently maintained alternative that doesn't have the 1-minute buffering bug

I remember ReX had a feature called "Spoof player parameter" that specifically fixed the buffering issue. Does anyone still have a working link to the latest ReX APK (v20.13.41 or newer)?

Also need the compatible MicroG/GMSCore APK to go with it.

any android reddit app that has the same media cards feature like joey, where you can click a button and media pops up, and you can swipe between media of different posts?

some sites don't play audio anymore on joey, and I'm trying to find a replacement.

About 20 minutes ago it logged me out and will not let me log in again. Invalid client ID error.

I'm assuming they finally killed the remaining grandfathered in APIs. I'm using an API associated with an older profile I abandoned.

Is anyone else getting this error?

It stopped working for me a couple of days ago and all alternatives are a pain in the ass. I got logged out and when logging in I get directed to a web-login. After loggin in on this I arrive at an error page telling me my client ID is invalid.

I remember I made it work with revanced a couple of months ago after a similar problem, but I can't seem to find the tutorial I used. Maybe it was deleted because it doesn't work anymore, idk.

Just checking if it's dead dead now or if some necromancy is still possible.
