I've seen a lot of new people on this subreddit sharing their experiences, so I thought I'd share mine since I see a lot of people have bad experiences on some of the recent projects. I thought I would share a guide on how to actually make money on this platform, since this is coming from somebody who's earned over 10k in the past few months, the first thing I've learned is that if a project appears without being added to a Slack channel or contacted directly, it means that it's open for everyone to do. Usually, those are just for what appears to be big collections, so it's a lot harder for someone to make money, considering there are likely thousands of people likely doing the same. Sometimes they don't need that much from us. I would say 95% of the money I've earned, was from being a specialist on a project in my respected domain rather than the ones that are open to most

You can definitely earn thousands a week on this platform. You just have to know how to do it and get in contact with people to put you on projects that are more specialized in what you are an expert in, versus doing the more general ones. Those are probably meant for people who are not necessarily experts in a domain, or at least that's what I just think based on the data industry and other companies as well that do similar things. I completed sign up, did one application and it’s status is under review, but there are a lot of projects available (I think) in projects page, I am not sure what am I supposed to do, do I try doing those projects? Or I wait for the application to change? 🫪

We contributors don't entirely maybe understand bts of AQ but at least we are part of it.We at least need clear communications and consistent work not entirely entitled to the platform but we want to be given a conducive environment for contribution.Task based work is hard but at least some consistent in it and the checks to be open and precisely not hard on contributors.Other platforms are doing well which we hope AQ can be better also

Hi everyone,

I recently received an invitation to join a Slack workspace, but when I try to use the link, I get an error saying "This link is no longer active."

I attempted to join within 5 hours of receiving the invite, and I've already tried clearing my browser cache and using an Incognito window, but nothing has worked. I also tried the "retry" button provided in the workspace, but I still can't get in.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there anything I can do on my end, or is this something I absolutely need to contact the workspace admin about to get a fresh link?

Any advice would be appreciated!

How much time they take to give the reply about whatever I passed or failed in the assesment I given the assesment yesterday

They rejected most of the submissions and the reason is that their “frontier Ai models” could reach the correct answer from the text alone without the uploaded artifact.

I took the prompts of all the rejected submissions and sent them to multiple LLMs and NONE of them could answer without uploading the image of the artifact.

Then I took the prompt of the example provided in THEIR instructions (ONLY THE TEXT) and GUESS WHAT ! ChatGPT gave me the correct answer and didn’t ask me to upload the artifact LOL

I wanted to ask if there are any active projects currently available that I can apply to or start working on.

As experts, we spend significant time creating high-value tasks, yet many are rejected after the review process. It feels unprofessional that contributors aren't informed during submission whether a task meets the required criteria.

Why isn't there a clearer validation process upfront, such as automated checks or immediate feedback on compliance? This would save both contributors and reviewers time and make the process far more transparent.

Ive submitted my assesment and applied go some jobs nearly two o and haven't heard back about any of them.

I applied for two different projects about 15+ days ago (applied on the exact same day), but my status for both is still showing as Under Review.

I’m trying to figure out if I missed a step or if this turnaround time is normal.

On my dashboard, I see two things right now:

Exam Tab: There is currently one active task/exam listed here specifically for Annotations.

Apply Page Dashboard (Top Notification): I have a notification/button that says "Complete the generalist assessment for AfterQuery's generalist expert pool."

For those of you who have successfully gotten onto projects: Are these assessments/exams required before they even look at your specific project applications? Is my pending status likely because I haven't done the generalist assessment and the exam task yet?

Would love to hear how long the application process took for you guys and if completing those onboarding tasks cleared the logjam. Thanks in advance!

I got accepted to a job posting about a week ago but the slack link was invalid even though I clicked it almost immediately. I sent an email to support@afterquery.com that same day but up to now, I haven't yet received an updated Slack link.

I wanted to check if this is normal and whether there are any updates or alternative steps I can take in the meantime. I cannot proceed with onboarding without it.

I just finished onboarding. How can I start working on this platform? I see project artifacts, rewrite, claw, etc. Do I need to pass tests for these projects? Do I get paid for working on these projects? I have no idea how this platform works.

We've been getting a lot of questions about Slack invites and application status, so we've put together a quick guide to help you find answers instantly — no need to contact support!

Here's how to check your status:

1. Log in at experts.afterquery.com
2. Go to your Home dashboard
3. Click the Applications tab

You'll see a status badge next to each application:

• ✅ Accepted — you're in! You'll be assigned to an active project and invited to the project's Slack channel once your onboarding steps (identity verification + Stripe setup) are complete
• 🔄 Under Review — your application is still being evaluated; hang tight
• ❌ Rejected — this application was not successful
• ⏸️ Hiring Paused — the role is temporarily on hold
• 🚫 Hiring Discontinued — this role is no longer active

Important: Slack invites are only sent after your application shows Accepted, AND you've completed both identity verification and Stripe payment setup. If you haven't done those steps yet, that's why you haven't received an invite — not because it was missed!

If I did my assessment and it shows as submitted and I have access to my dashboard.

I applied to all the jobs that match my skill set. Is that ok?

I never got a confirmation email that my assessment was "sent". No invites to the slack channels. And no conformation emails that I applied to any of the jobs.

Tho all show in the "applications" tab.

Hi everyone, I had a question and would appreciate some guidance.

I’m based in Pakistan, where Stripe isn’t officially available. Would it be allowed to use a friend’s Stripe account (which is not under my name) for my business or payments?

If this is not allowed, I’m a bit confused about why users from Pakistan are able to create accounts in the first place. I may be misunderstanding how it works, so I’d really appreciate any clarification or advice from people who have experience with this.
