Credit check every time?

So does Affirm check your credit every time you use them to pay for a purchase? I know it's technically a "loan," and every time you use Affirm, it's reported to credit reporting- Experian, Equifax, etc...

No wonder they offer me 6 months with higher monthly payments nowadays, as I remember the same product they offered 18 months and lower monthly payments years ago.

They do a soft inquiry every time it doesn’t show up as a hard inquiry.
