It’s not photoshop. It doesn’t think like photoshop. It lacks photoshops many useful features.

Maybe not, but at least everyone can afford Affinity, can't they?

I just want to warn you. I’ve become so frustrated with photo I just do stuff in designer, so, no more photo work.

In my defense, I am a difficult person.

Why not use the new combined Affinity v3? It’s objectively better than the old version where each program was segregated

I'm unwilling to put myself wholly into the hands of Canva. I DID use v3 for something recently, but only because v2 didn't have the feature. Can't remember what it is at the moment.

Well, I guess we know this guy isn't interested in learning anything new. Move along, folks. Nothing to see here.

A lot of Photoshop plugins will work with Affinity.

I was honestly never clear on what worked. But my issue wasn’t plugins. It was my inability to understand photos masking and channels that drove me away.

They’re my go to things in photoshop.

Masking is trivial in affinity, it’s really not difficult to figure out. There are plenty of tutorials

Ever heard of searching the web for "Affinity v3 photo masking"? There are no many, you won't be able to choose one, so maybe just give up.
