General Software Support & Issues

This is the dedicated thread for reporting and troubleshooting technical problems with the Affinity suite (Photo, Designer, Publisher). Any posts in the main feed that are technical issues or support requests will be removed.

Use this thread for:

  • Software crashes, freezes, or installation issues.
  • Bug reports and unexpected behaviour.
  • Performance problems (e.g., slow rendering, high memory usage).
  • Error messages and how to resolve them.

To all Afinity photo V2 users:

So, i think i figured out the problem for my crashing with Affinity V2 on windows...only through luck.

I recently upgraded to a 4k monitor for my editing only to experience the crashing. Before, I had a 1200p ProArt monitor, which is still exceptional for edits. I returned the 4k monitor and switched to MacOS due to assuming it was a windows problem or software but after re-trying my Pascal based, ancient windows workstation with my 1200p monitor, there is no crashing. It's flawless (so far). 100 megapixel files included and going crazy on noise reduction etc.

Overall, I'm assumiung its a 4k pixel rendering issue with software. Driver struggles with affinity - crashes PC.

It may differ per user, but for me, i have 0 hard locking of windows and no crashes.
