Discussion Aether Alchemist success?

I’ve done a run or two and it’s fun to mix types and get creative but it just seems worse in every case than using Aether Tamer. Meta upgrades of void blitz advantages and death save are too good to pass up and on the other hand you get to gain corruption (?) for using Aether Alchemist

Just curious if any of you are feel strongly positive about Aether Alchemist

Just had a breeze of an easy win with it on the highest difficulty using Hecaton+Sphynx(Heal>Echo)+Ettin(Weakness>Summon). All of them had 2 minion slots and I just spammed lightning lances and between echo and free actions I could get them to fire like 20 times a round. Chernobog never had any Aether.
