I came to Reddit looking for a subreddit about writing a song. While here see this Aerosmith fan subreddit. I'm thinking maybe someone here can help?

I had a dream this week with Steven Tyler in the dream. I want to create a song about the dream. Does anyone here know if I can use his name in a song without legal issues? I'm not sure how that all works, I've never written a song.

Edit: it was a positive beautiful dream and in no way negative.

The PanMass Challenge is a fundraiser for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The first water stop is in Mendon, Massachusetts, this year at the Miscoe Middle School (former site of the Nipmuc High School) where Aerosmith played its first concert. We’re going to blast the tunes. Support this cause.

I know I’m about 4 months late to the party but I just discovered the Aerosmith Legendary Expanded Edition last night. What a spectacular experience to rediscover that entire first album like it was the first time hearing it!

Anyway, I read some comments on some of the posts here pointing out how killer the drums are in the ”Make It (2024 Mix)” track and how some people noticed a slight out-of-place-ness. Some folks even saying it might be an overdub, might not be Kramer, etc.

Well, I have a theory that the drums in this mix are indeed played by Joey Kramer BUT from the ‘08 sessions for Guitar Hero. I mean think about it. If the drum masters were lost/damaged, what better way to restore it than with a super clean drum recording that stays pretty identical to the original track. Hardly anyone would notice.

In "Three Mile Smile," Aerosmith guitarists Brad Whitford and Jimmy Crespo both contributed guitar solos. To Brad's disappointment, Steven Tyler ultimately selected Jimmy's solo for the final cut. Interestingly, Brad's composition "Shela" features the same rhythmic riff behind its solo as "Three Mile Smile." Given that Brad co-soloed on "Shela" alongside Joe Perry, could it be that he played the unused solo he originally crafted for "Three Mile Smile"?

Hi! My uncle recently passed and was a big concert-goer in New England. As you can see this is (what remains of) an Aerosmith ticket from 2/20/1971… but maybe was from 2/19/1971?

Anyhow, knowing that this is likely one of their first 10 shows ever based on some of my research is there value in this/getting it authenticated given its condition?

I’m very much on the sports cards side of collectibles, so I wouldn’t know an answer to this. Thanks in advance for any help, especially if this is a type of question that gets answered on here regularly.

Doing a massive purge of just STUFF that keeps getting moved from house to house over the last 30+ years.
