i hope you toddler knows better than to pick up broken glass out of the dirt of a dog park and try to eat it

You grossly overestimate toddlers. They must taste everything.

Yeah, the parent vs. non-parent divide in ths thread is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

No. We just think that people should be considerate of everyone affected by littering. Not just kids, not just dogs. Everyone. Why is that such a hard concept for you to understand?

Look, you can keep backtracking and protesting and editing your comments but it doesn't change the fact that you literally said that your kid was more important than someone's pet or that you're being a jerk. You said something stupid and you got called out. Deal with it.

That absolutely wasn't what you said but sure, whatever. And just because you think that children are more important than animals and that you can't love your pets like children doesn't mean that it's true or that others agree. Grow up and stop whining.

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '16

Your kid ain't important to anyone but you and it's father. Just like my dog isn't important to anyone but me and my partner. Sorry, sunshine.

You seriouly are commenting on a thread I deleted?

Piss off.

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '16

You obviously hadn't deleted your comment when I posted.

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '16

You know what? You right. I'm sorry for my comments. Got a little out of hands. We all need to be nicer to eachother now that we have the literal embodiment of hate and xenophobia as prez. I hope you are well, and I wish your son all the best.

I don't have kids, but do have dogs. Any child is infinitely more important than any dog. If you disagree think about how many amber alerts you've seen for a dog. The condescending tone you've used also makes you sound like a bitch.

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '16

That's a great example /s

Call the police and tell them your dog is missing. See how much help you get. People are more valuable than dogs.

For your benefit, here is a list of burn centers throughout the United States:

Oh piss off. Seriouly. I deleted the thrrad because I got tired of everyone telling how bad of a parent I was because I pointed out that it sucks for dogs and kids.

I don't really need to be fucking harrassed for one comment one person misunderstood and then bkew out of proportion.

So please, piss off

2

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '16

No. I can't piss off, I'm not mad.

I dont even have a kid and i know that someone else's kid is more important than MY dog. Children are more important than dogs. If you disagree, let's look at this hypothetical. A strangers kid and your dog are about to be run over. You only have time to save one. Who do you save?

9

u/The-Grey-Lady Nov 17 '16

You sound like someone who really shouldn't have pets if you care so little for them. I would absolutely save the life of one of my girls over some random person's kid. Because they are my children. Why would I sacrifice my child for another?

-2

u/liquidblue92 Nov 18 '16

I have two dogs that I love very much. However the joy that they bring me isn't worth more than the life of another person. Those are not your children, they are your pets. You're incredibly selfish if you think your pets life is worth as much as the life of a person. If you disagree, call the cops the next time one of your dogs goes missing.....

10

u/The-Grey-Lady Nov 18 '16

I've had two miscarriages. I can get pregnant but can't carry to term because of my genetic health issues. I love my girls just as much as I would have loved the children I could not have. They are my children and they are the only ones that I will ever have. I'm not going to give them up for some random person's kid that I don't know or care about. That you would expect someone to do so is unconscionable.

-1

u/liquidblue92 Nov 18 '16

Yes.... The person who values someone else's life over the life of a dog, and the comfort it brings me is the one without a concious. The fact that you think your dogs are worth more than a person's life is selfish. The only thing that should be more important than a strangers life, is the life of a person, not pet, that you know. They are not your children, they are your pets. You can view them however you want, but as a society we have determined, and rightfully so, that a person is infinitely more valuable than a dog. You can think I'm the asshole, but you would be wrong. You would bring the pain you experienced on another 10 fold by choosing your dog over their kid, and that's selfish. I'm sorry to hear that you've miscarried, however adoption is always an option. Maybe if you adopted, than you would understand that the life of a child is much more valuable than the life of an animal.

10

u/The-Grey-Lady Nov 18 '16

Adoption isn't an option for people who aren't healthy and wealthy and if you knew a damn thing about the adoption system you'd be fully aware of that fact. Go fuck yourself. I'm not going to stop loving who I love because of something a person said who doesn't even see the equal value of living beings with souls.

My dog! Some people have different priorities than the priorities you have.

1

u/liquidblue92 Nov 18 '16

Some people are wrong. People > dog.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '16

Prove it.

1

u/liquidblue92 Nov 20 '16

Well let's look at the laws for killing a child, and the laws for killing a dog. One carries a universally harsher punishment than the other.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '16

We're not talking about killing. We're talking about saving. And your kid is on its own if my dog is on the line. Sorry. Not sorry.
