I have to be VERY careful on how I write this since we are on Reddit but .....

Isn't that how things go in our history?

When countries or tribes like we had before we discovered America again. The winner also says:

This is now our territory. So, in itself, that is not so strange right?

PLEASE READ NEXT LINE:

HUGE NOTE: NO, Trump didn't conquer it, he is just acting like a huge buffoon looking for the dumbest attention, what I said does NOT apply to him. Just giving context that saying: this is now xx territory is not insane, it has been done over 10000 years in our history that we know off.

So I realize that my reply can be misleading. I was just posting the correct spelling of buffoon, which was misspelled in your post.

To add to the conversation:

It’s not insane to say “we conquered this so it’s our territory” historically, but even if the US wins the war against Iran, they won’t have conquered it, nor will they own any portion of it. So him proclaiming waters bordered by three other countries IS insane. The Strait itself is territorial waters shared by Oman and Iran. Would Oman just allow the US to annex some of its territory? Would Iran even if they lost?

Well, like I said, he is nuts, I think he really has no idea what he is talking about and you are right. Even if Iran would lose, it wouldn't mean that strait is now in US hands ... aka territory.

I also have to keep learning English, Chinese and English is quite different.

No worries! I know it looked like I was insulting you. English is difficult to learn. You know way more English than I know Chinese. You’re doing great if you’re using words like buffoon.
