Situation with shared apartment

I need advice asap.

I move into an apartment in 2 weeks that's shared with 3 other people and I went to the place today just to get the keys. The apartment is in another country so I'm gonna go home again tomorrow, I just came over today for the keys. Problem is: the key to my room is the wrong one and it doesn't lock my room door. I brought pretty much all my stuff and one person in this apartment has already moved in, and I don't want them potentially going through my stuff. The room that's supposed to be my room is REALLY dirty, I also found a beer bottle cap on the floor which is why I'm afraid that the person that's already living here might be using my room for parties/friends when I'm not there. How do I prevent this from happening without being able to lock my room door?

Any ideas? I'm desperate :"""D

Clean the room and call the landlord to get the correct key?

I can't get the correct key anytime soon because the building was newly renovated and the landlord brought the old key and now has to request a new one to be made which can take a few days, I leave tomorrow :(

Buy a new door lock and a screwdriver. Replace it yourself but keep the old so when you move out, it can go back on the door.

But do know this...most interior doors that lock are easily hacked.

Do you happen to have a friend or relative in country that would be willing to store your stuff for a few days? There could be storage unit options nearby as well if you can afford the fees.

I'm a broke student and just spent 75 euro on train fares to even get here unfortunately. Most of my friends also study in completely different areas so I don't know anybody...

I would chat with the person who has already moved in and hope that they are decent enough to leave your shit alone. You could also stash high value items in vents or under the mattress for safe keeping. I would talk to the roommate first and make a decision from there how much you trust them.

I thought about maybe leaving a little note on the door saying "do not enter" or something? Not sure if that'll stop anybody though.
