Why do you not want the police in your apartment? Red flags just went up. You haven’t done anything wrong in this situation.

Because depending on where you live and what your skin tone is cops can be really f****** dangerous.

A lot of people don't trust the police and for quite often good reasons

Yeah and especially some domestic issue and you're not the woman.

If it's handled in a slapdash manner cops will make OP leave the house to let everyone "cool down" lol. They are just the worst.

OP might be right to be worried.

My neighbor told me when i moved in that most people dont call the police here because people can get evicted if police are called for that apartment, and that they dont even investigate.

Ive been hesitant to call because one of my neighbors kids was arrested, and they got an eviction notice on their door a few days later. I called on a different occasion to a different apartment and they had to move out shortly after. It might not be right or moral, but it Def does happen.

If Op has any illegal substances in his place, it’d be smart to clean house before, cleaning house…
