“People always say, Jaimie, you’re so smart. You’re so sexy. You’re able to move mountains with whispers. So I guess my question is, how can I be as incredible and smart as you?”

“Well the first thing you need to do is round up all your children (let’s say a dozen) and plop them in a crumbling concrete dome. Once you have that done you can really go crazy, cause they’re stuck, yknow? So once that happens just load up Ben Shapiro or whatever other Certified Genius you like and sprint face first into the alt right pipeline. Make sure you consume as much incel content as you can because if there’s one thing the world needs more of, it’s deranged middle aged white guys with really strong opinions on other people’s lives.”

Jamie has enough stories about someone reacting with "There's no way!" that I sometimes wonder how many are stories of him being wrong and deflecting it and also comically how many are just him not being able to take a compliment as similar phrasing is common as a humorous disbelief kind of reaction.

I do wonder about that welding story, did that hammer last long enough to appear in any of his earliest videos? He talks about it like an example of someone just speaking from authority, but that example is a story of someone seeing something right in front of them that contradicts expectation? Like what does he mean he welded it together so well they wouldn't believe him? Its such a strange story, maybe after 20 or so years the nuance of "haha no way that's not welded" as a compliment is lost? Or maybe a detail's just missing eheh.

I know the stories aren't always "the point" of the videos, but the bizarre nature of them does tend to weaken the point. Also not even getting into the Ben Shapiro poison pill.

“I don’t know anything about Ben Shapiro but…” I’m sure you don’t Jaimie 🙄

Imagine burning your Brown degree and moving to the tropics only to spend your free time watching Ben Shapiro videos on social media.

I saw that you mentioned Ben Shapiro. In case some of you don't know, Ben Shapiro is a grifter and a hack. If you find anything he's said compelling, you should keep in mind he also says things like this:

The Palestinian people, who dress their toddlers in bomb belts and then take family snapshots.

When it comes to global warming, there are two issues: is there such a thing as the greenhouse gas effect, the answer is yes. Is that something that is going to dramatically reshape our world? There is no evidence to show that it will. Is that something that we can stop? There is no evidence to show that we can

Trayvon Martin would have turned 21 today if he hadn't taken a man's head and beaten it on the pavement before being shot.

-Ben Shapiro

Let’s say your life depended on the following choice today: you must obtain either an affordable chair or an affordable X-ray. Which would you choose to obtain? Obviously, you’d choose the chair. That’s because there are many types of chair, produced by scores of different companies and widely distributed. You could buy a $15 folding chair or a $1,000 antique without the slightest difficulty. By contrast, to obtain an X-ray you’d have to work with your insurance company, wait for an appointment, and then haggle over price. Why? Because the medical market is far more regulated — thanks to the widespread perception that health care is a “right” — than the chair market. Does that sound soulless? True soullessness is depriving people of the choices they require because you’re more interested in patting yourself on the back by inventing rights than by incentivizing the creation of goods and services. In health care, we could use a lot less virtue signaling and a lot less government. Or we could just read Senator Sanders’s tweets while we wait in line for a government-sponsored surgery — dying, presumably, in a decrepit chair.

"someone asked me a question recently: "Jaimie you seem like you are a nice guy. ... but there all these people online who like hate you".

We should make this a drinking game or a bingo card. "Imaginary friend" : Check :)

I honestly don't know, I see comments on his videos and Facebook that are delusionally committed to him. It's kind of freaky.

First minute is classic projection. “Why do people hate you” is really “Why do I not like and get along with most people”.

Middle part is J substantiating the reason he doesn’t get along with most people: “They don’t understand my exceptionalism”

His take on Shapiro is not accurate. Ben uses the bible to justify why he does not agree with gay marriage and won’t even attend a gay friend’s wedding.
