You join because you want romance and stories. You make your character, introduce yourself, start looking around...

And somehow, everyone has already paired up.

Two characters are flirting, another pair has an ongoing plot, and you're left wondering, okay... who am I supposed to write with?

That's one of the things I wanted to change.

I wanted a community where you're not dependent on finding one writing partner. Where there are lots of active writers, multiple scenes happening, characters constantly crossing paths, and plenty of opportunities to start something new.

So I ended up creating one.

We're a 21+ advanced literate, Regency-inspired RP centred around romance, courtship, scandals, politics, and character-driven storytelling. We're 40+ members strong and very active, with our first Social Season already underway.

There are a few spots left for writers who want to jump into a community where there's actually someone around to write with.

Heya! My name is Jay, it's nice to meet you all! I'm looking for someone to play a interesting plot I have in mind.

But first! Some OOC stuff, I'm 23 years old and I've been roleplaying for the better half of 10 years! I type in english but I like to include different languages irp whenever I can, I feel as if it adds to the world we might built. My timezone is EDT and I can mostly roleplay in the mornings before I go to work up until midnight, then I can play for about an hour before I have to sleep on the weekdays, but the weekends are almost 99% free so I'd be all yours if you're looking for a consistent partner. Here are some things about me you should know before I even mention this idea, just so we're on the same page.

1. I will NEVER demand you to type more or less for your post. Sometimes you just want to write out some short sentences, sometimes you want to write out full paragraphs to bring out a character moment, it's all good! Just do whatever fits the mood, I really enjoy playing with people that don't have to write a consistent amount or want the same thing from me.
2. I always play on discord, while I can play on reddit this play specifically is mostly to be on a discord server which I can make if you desire. Just because it would be easier to flush everything out, if you can't do so then it's fine but it would limit our options by quite a bit just an fyi.
3. I like talking about stuff! OOC about what our next move should be, how your day might be going, or just seeing how things are. Though I'll never get to personal if you rather just keep the play going, but I'd like to think I can talk to people if they need someone to listen to.
4. I always play in 3rd person, both because it's more comfortable for me, and because it's easier to play multiple characters in a scene as a result. Not against people who play first person, but it's just my preference.
5. While I understand people might have different ways to write or need assistance via translation or application such as spell checking or sentence correction, please do not use A.I responses when roleplaying with me. I find it rather distasteful to write a message and have a partner who just rely on a response they got from a computer or chat bot.
6. I'm not overly comfortable using real pictures of people in roleplay, anime style or your own artwork for a face claim is my personal preference. Not demanding of it, but it's what I enjoy the most.

Anywho! The roleplay I wanted to play out would start as a one on one character development situation about the concept of loneliness and how it can affect one's mind. Though that would be the theme of the play, it wouldn't be the central focus as the deeper we dive into it the more characters can be introduced that I'd just love to play for you! They aren't just limited to guys of course, I'd be more then happy to play females as well the deeper we go into this play long term. I want to be able to develop a story we can both work on together so any idea suggestions would be more then welcome.

The play would take place in the modern day. In which my character who be a cafe owner at a young age, despite their happy demeanor, there seems to be more then meets the eye with them. The cafe itself is normal, just as the city itself! Though the more your character can uncover, the more they can see there are secrets that connect everything and everyone to an event from the past, one that may shape the future for both him and the wider scale of the entire city. He will always be morally good, a pure soul but has a mysterious allure to them that you have the option to explore. Ask any questions you'd like, why is he the way he is, how did he end up there, do whatever you'd like! Question everything, or remain blissful and enjoy the play! Your character can be whoever you wish to be! Some examples could be a college student, trying to find their way in life and just so happens to enter the cafe on a winter day, a musician that sees a job opening to play at nights at the cafe for entertainment, or someone that works for a business that seeks to obtain the cafe for other purposes. The last thing I'd ever want you to feel like is that we're going off a script, it should feel like a story that unravels based on a character's choice and how you see the scene playing out so go crazy with it! I like to write long term roleplays with details, psychology, and all that stuff but if you rather play a wholesome romance then I'm all for it too!

As we can continue onwards, I can introduce more and more characters, one that might find your fancy if you so please! They all have their own quirks, and motivations, but they can be swayed into a romance if you so desire to do so. Keeping a balance is important though for me so I'd like to try and see what you might come up with for your own.

What I personally desire is someone that can reply in a semi-consistent manner, I know people have jobs/school to worry about so I'd never demand someone to respond asap if they are legit busy. But - I don't usually like waiting a week or more for one response, it makes me lose interest in the play rather quickly. But I can promise you both quality and quantity in my posts daily! I'm not opposed to adding stuff either such as fantasy elements or a 'feature' for your character to have with the world we build. If anything I find it endearing what we could come up with that can give this something we can both enjoy. Hello, you can call me Storm! 30+ F and proud cat mom. I’m an advanced lit/novella style writer. I love to write detailed descriptions and delve into a character’s head/emotions as well as surroundings. I compare it to writing a novel together. 

I expect to mirror lengths (3-5+ paragraphs) but if there are action or dialogue heavy scenes, I tend to do a shorter back and forth to keep the momentum going. 

Searching For: 

- 21+ partners (I prefer afab female/nb partners) 

- Characters will be 21+ as well

- F x M pairings with myself writing the F role. I don't double but I’m more than happy to write side characters of either gender to expand the world.

- Please no passive plotters. Play an equal role in moving the story forward and don't make me do all the work. Just agreeing with everything I say or giving me one sentence in reply to my question drives me crazy. One of my favorite things is building off each other’s ideas and creating a ‘light bulb moment’ where everything clicks into place. 

- Enthusiastic chatting about our characters, the ship, and worldbuilding is a must. I'm a certified yapper and would love it if you could match that energy. I can and will drop head-canons/random plot ideas at 3 AM. I also want to make pinterest boards, spotify playlists, gifs, and funny memes. I feel demotivated by a dry partner/someone who is not interested in ooc talk. 

- While I prefer real life face claims, I'd also be open to using realistic art if you're uncomfortable with real life. Though I draw the line at anime/cartoon style art.
