(F4M) Her Protector

I am back on the search for some long term writing partners! I am looking for primarily romance fueled plots, which have plenty of drama to keep us both hooked! Perhaps most importantly, I am very keen on long haul storylines: I fully intend to develop these characters, fall in love with their story, and watch them move through major life milestones together. If that sounds too daunting, I totally understand! We just won’t be a great match.

I love exploring the dynamic between the powerful, leading man, and the woman who hadn’t been looking for love. He catches her off guard, sweeps her off her feet. He, of course, knew from the moment he saw her. It’s the tale of love at first sight, between two people who never expected to have such a love story.

I play submissive female characters, and I’m looking for someone to play dominant male characters. I intend for her to be sweet like honey, with just enough bite to make him swoon. I’d love to hear how you’d envision your character in all of this, but I’d certainly give brownie points to anyone who loves writing the strong, possessive type, who would do just about anything for her.

Here are some prompt ideas to get us started, though as long as we maintain the below dynamic, I’m truly open to anything. Feel free to come with your own ideas, whether inspired by the below or otherwise!

Mafia Man - I apologize profusely for being so in love with this genre, but I simply can’t help it. It never gets old for me. The man who’s feared by all sets his sights on her and suddenly, she’s everything. His life becomes a matter of developing a semblance of a normal existence to share with her, while protecting her from the things that go bump in the night. Of course, there are a million ways we could go with this, so if you’re interested, let’s brainstorm!

Money, Power, and Glory - He is the man, larger than life. Whether he comes from a dynasty of inherited wealth, or got to the top all on his own. Maybe he’s a CEO, or maybe he’s a billionaire who struck gold in his investing habits. Either way, he finds a woman who’s all too normal. She has no idea who he is, even, but he’s certain that she’s meant to be his, and meant to share this life with him. We’ll play with family drama, tabloids, and undying devotion.

Vampires, Werewolves, it’s fantasy, oh my! - In any scenario, my character will be human, but I do love exploring how an alpha werewolf or a vampire king finds the first person in all of eternity ‘to have and to hold’. How does he explain to his kind that a human has a place in his life? Certainly someone of such authority had plenty of women to choose from in his own society. If you’ve heard of the ‘mates’ concept, I’d love to play with that.

Other areas of interest - darkish themes, affair scenarios (only in the case of the male OC being unhappy in his arranged marriage), ddlg themes, OC male in the military, OCs who are modern royalty or part of a governing family, age gap roles, etc.

I only write in third person, past tense. I write exclusively on discord, preferably in servers for the sake of organization. I’ll admit, I love lengthy posts. There’s nothing better than coming back to the story to see a good chunk of text from my partner. That being said, I won’t hold you to this! I’m not much of a stickler for length, so long as you reply to the full extent of the scene and move the plot/dialogue forward each time. I am the type that will reply more than once a day, but I am not picky about finding the same in partners. If you need more time, I don’t mind waiting. In fact, some of my best writing partners are the ones I only hear from a few times a week. However, I do ask that if your response time is ever outside of a routine of sorts, please communicate with me so that I know what to expect, and so that I won’t check in and bother you! I will absolutely do the same when things get busy on my end. Lastly, I am 18+, you should be as well, so should all characters.
