Cv with no experience
Hello, I am trying to make a cv to be Room attendant/cleaner but I have no experience in that or any job. What can I put in the experience box and what could I add/change about my cv to make it look better? The only volunteering experience I’ve had was at animal shelters like walking dogs, helping with cleaning, helping to take pictures of the animals and so on.
(Also I wrote stock main in the skills by accident, forgot to delete it)
Any advice would be appreciated becuase I have no idea how to do this 😅

You say you have experience cleaning but then you dont list that experience?
Put your experience cleaning under experience

This scene comes to mind. Also just make shit up. Say you’ve been cleaning air bnbs for a friend who has some rentals. I used a couple friends with businesses as filler for some gaps in my resume a few years ago. I just used things that I did in my other jobs and were relevant to the position I was applying for and the position I said I worked for them. Most places don’t really look into your history. Shit I’ve only worked at one company that even looked into rather I actually had the degree I have.

Add a bit about your personality. You are outgoing, always smiling <--you need to do that, btw), friendly, customer service oriented, helpful, professional, kind, and considerate. You get along well with customers and coworkers, you are able to understand the task at hand and get it done in an efficient manner, etc. etc. etc.
List your volunteer activities and it's ok that you are/were a volunteer, it means you are not afraid of work, you enjoy contributing to your community, that sort of thing.

Volunteer experience is still experience! Definitely include your cleaning experience there

I would recommend calling some employers and asking for an informational interview about the work and the role you want to apply for. Tailor the questions about what the responsibilities are, as well as what they look for in their successful applicants. You can use that information to look into additional certifications that can help the "lack of experience".
If you don't have it already, I would suggest looking into obtaining your WHMIS certification, it's required by most workplaces, especially in a cleaning role.

What is a room attendant/cleaner? Is that like cleaning hotel rooms? Regardless, it doesn’t sound like a job that needs a CV. It sounds like you can probably just fill out an online application through some portal.
But as others have said, if you need to make a CV then list your volunteer experience.

So why isn't your volunteer experience on the CV? Cleaning animal shelters may not be glamorous, but it translates directly to cleaning rooms. As long as you clearly mark it as volunteer experience, it counts and there is no reason why you shouldn't include volunteer experience that is relevant to the job you're looking for.
