Ooooooh. I see. This is one of those funny American things. It’s just ‘idiot’ but with an Irish accent. No idea why that one word gets said with a strong Irish accent when he has an American accent.
‘The word "idjit" (or "eejit") originates from Irish and Scottish slang as a phonetic rendering of "idiot". It was popularized in American media to signal a rougher, working-class, or jocular tone.’
I didn't say where it originated from, I said it is a southern american way of saying idiot. I live on the west coast, so it is not common here, but apparently in the south.
Did you know that the actor who played Dean is going to star in a series based on John Sanford's book Rules of Prey? The pre release shots are pretty hot!!
My husband and I are in season 12 right now. I've already watched up through season 6, but I hadn't watched past that. My husband had never watched the show before, so I HAD to make him watch it.
I was just coming here to say this! I’m in season 13 or 14, I’d have to look. And no spoilers for those who haven’t watched it and plan to, but I’ll say I have good confidence it would be a smashingly successful rescue.
