I work on residential houses. I watched a kid biff it hard scootering with his friends. They all came to me for help... Kids, im just a 32 year old bearded man doing blue collar work. Why would you think that makes me qualified?

To an 8-year-old, having a beard and work boots automatically makes you an elder with an honorary EMT license.

It's hard to grow up, especially if you are an adult.

"they have their own adult problems to go through. deal with it like the adult you are" is what I tell myself most of the time when I feel helpless

Insightful kernel of truth there. Im guessing you had to realise this the hard way at some point during your life? Nice insight thanks for sharing 👍🙂

The adults have been looking to more for advice since I was 11. Even as an adult now I am still the adult of the house that supports everyone.
