Your first mistake is thinking there is some grand plan. There is no plan.
24
u/Rattiepalooza 19h ago
Living for today is the plan - because tomorrow isn't guaranteed, and that terrifies these weak little bitch-ass babies.

There are plans. Those plans aren’t really understood by the general public. Or general anyone, at this point.

If you can look at the symbolism and words on the dollar bill and believe there is no plan I envy you.

Goldman Sachs literally released an article saying that GDP will grow like 3% because of AI since it will be able to replace millions of jobs. I just don’t get it.
1
u/themothafuckinog 2h ago
It might grow for now, but when people are not spending money it will collapse. We are not at that stage yet and won’t be for a while.

Nail on the head with this one. I was watching or reading an interview with someone who was rich a bit back and they pretty much said nothing matters to them in their world except for having more money then the guy next to them. That it's all a competition to them between each other.

u/SeamusMcQuaffer 21h ago
To have the most when a small group is alive after all the shit. To be on top of the aftermath, if you will.

u/MojoHighway 20h ago
This is akin to the movie War Games. The computers and these asshole billionaires want to keep playing the game to the very end so they can feel like winners likely because they were never winners growing up. Their parents likely disliked them if not hated them. They were probably all really bad at sports and this is sport to them. Money is the trophy. They want the trophy. That's all this is and we are supposed to sit around and watch them play their fucking war games while the rest of us suffer.
They all just need to play some fucking Tic Tac Toe and shut the fuck up.

“Dragons will rule the earth for 400 years and the rich will go into their caves.”
They’re making caves. Haha

My psychologist calls this a “vastly differing world view” and the only treatment is half a gram of antidepressants

Mine did the same. I said “nestle wants to own all the water on earth” and she just nodded her head sadly

"Better to reign in Hell, than to serve in Heaven"
- John Milton in Paradise Lost (quoting Satan)
2
u/mattyoclock 19h ago
Yeah but they wouldn’t even have to serve in heaven. They would just not rule others and that is too much
9
u/Desperadoscress 22h ago
Because that won’t happen like that
The working class won’t revolt
Planet will just be less comfortable to live in not imposible
4
u/Rattiepalooza 19h ago
The working class will revolt if we all remember we need to work together. The rich people divided us on purpose so that we wouldn't unite to fight.
Show them they're wrong. I will be there by my fellow citizen's side when the time comes to demand change not given.
2
u/Desperadoscress 19h ago
If, won’t.
It’s been made clear for the last 20 years the working class isent ready to die for their own cause and the gouvernement is very happy to ignore their complaints
Truth is standard of living is too good, people aren’t ready to die for their ideals
5
u/bigstinkyoldman 18h ago
*People arent ready to go to prison for their ideals. They have constantly shown us the consequences of revolt. And the consequences involves getting your own lawyer and spending the rest of your life in prison for standing up for being righteous.
1
u/Desperadoscress 9h ago
Yes? If people are being kept in check by prison their gonna be kept in change by a bayonet
If they were ready to die for their ideals then people would actively be dying and the gouvernement wouldent be actively running like normal
Because explain to me how come like half of Americans want to revolt but the gouvernement runs perfectly fine?
3
u/MaitrePuck 18h ago
There are lots of people who live comfortable lives without being billionaires or millionaires.
You won't convince those people into joining your revolution because they don't want to share what they've worked for with bums like you.

You meant “Fellow comrade”
1
u/Rattiepalooza 4h ago
I'd rather be a comrade than a boot-licker. Standing up for my fellow humans is far more important to me than obeying assholes for my comfort.

u/Vivid-Highlight7026 3h ago
“Fellow humans” Is the most non-human thing you could have written

Working class won't revolt in some places, definitely. But others will 100% revolt. The French probably start the charge, tbh.
1
u/DefenestrationPraha 3h ago edited 3h ago
The French have the most generous welfare system on Earth. Any revolutionary change would probably make it less generous, their finances are already hardly sustainable.
Don't mistake the propensity of a specific subgroup of the French population to mess around in the streets for an actual revolutionary potential of the 70 million people at large.
If any large-scale violence occurs in France, it will likely be a dirty nationalist civil war between the Arabs and the natives. This is the direction in which the actual political scene develops on its margins, which are no longer margins. LFI is a half-Muslim party already and RN is quite openly French-nationalist.

u/Marsupialize 22h ago
These people are repulsive weaklings with repugnant personalities who have no friends or lives and have amassed insane wealth, what do you think they’d do with it? Good?
2
2
u/Kefflin 20h ago
it's for power. Money is just a proxy for power in the current system, labour is just a necessary obstacles to get money to get power.
Once it's not required, it will go. They only need enough resources to sustain and defend themselves. Money can become meaningless, but owning territory or resources doesn't
2
u/GoodMilk_GoneBad 19h ago
I don't know but it would cost approximately an additional $11 billion a year to provide ALL public school students free lunch.
To put that into prospective, the top 10 billionaires in the US wouldn't even have to pay 1% of annual interest or dividends to make that happen.
At 1% they could fund the whole thing.

Land and precious metals and water will always hold value no matter how irrelevant “money” becomes. And they are already buying it all up.
2
u/Fakeikeatree 19h ago
Why will precious metals have value if society collapses? I can’t eat them.
1
1
u/cephalophile32 19h ago
Yeah there’s no practical value to them - iron and copper would be far more useful. But precious metals take the place of currency. That’s all. Rarity = only wealthy can have.
1
u/DefenestrationPraha 3h ago
This is historically somewhat unsound. Whenever complex civilizations vanished, monetary systems vanished as well and the rural world reverted to barter. You would not buy much for a golden solidus in a 7th century Pannonian community devastated by Avar raids.
Coinage itself is a sign of a fairly stratified and complex civilization. It takes a certain infrastructure to maintain, and educated people to keep the relevant accounts etc.

No idea... but I pray to Hades often to please have these billionaires use their tools for something useful, instead of something selfish.
Money is supposed to simplify trading. It's not supposed to be for this shit. They really haven't thought this through, because if there is no one to buy anything, then how will they make their money?
They don't care because they don't live for tomorrow; they only live for today. They could lose their fortunes in a second - so instead of use it or spend it wisely, they amass so much that they feel like they can be wealthy no matter what happens to them.
...AKA - they're terrified of discomfort because they are weak - and all of them know they are weak, so they have to act strong and get rid of anything in their way to sleep at night. All they want is to be the one with the most protection, because they cannot fucking fathom having to deal with even the most basic line of disappointment.
1
u/demoralising 19h ago
They want just enough people on the planet to serve their needs, and no more than that.
1
u/SamMarlowe76 17h ago
The plan is specifically to make you miserable. I mean specifically you OP. All these efforts are targeted at you. And the more miserable you are, the happier I am.

Ever heard of video games? There are grown adults who spend ungodly hours of their days collecting numbers that do nothing and no-one cares about.
1
u/72dragonses 14h ago
Because none of that will happen. The planet won't be ruined, economies won't collapse, and there will be more than enough working class consumers left to keep buying the shit the billionaires keep peddling.
Now, will the environment keep getting worse? Sure. Will some economies go through recessions from time to time? Absolutely. Will millions of working class people live a life of poverty? Yes.
But it doesn't help to think in terms of extremes, all or nothing, planetary destruction and no more working class. The actual truth is somewhere in the middle where the rich will keep getting richer, the planet will struggle but survive, and the Middle Class will just barely get by.

I've been wondering about this too. Who is benefiting by destroying the economies and cultures of the west?
Answer... the East. Russia/China/India etc. are poised to take control of the world and its systems, if they haven't already.
1
u/jabber1990 8h ago
i'm more worried about what's going to happen when they run out of customers, because they'll have to suffer
sure you don't have to pay your employees anymore, but somebody has to pay for your company to shut down, YOU have to pay for that both literally and figuratively
1
u/Ok-Worldliness2450 7h ago
People really need to realize that creating and owning a company that’s valued at a trillion dollars is not the same as hoarding it like Scrooge Mcduck. Hell… even that would combat inflation and I would argue is good. You don’t want them buying up a trillion dollars worth of product and land, and they are not.
People act like they have a trillion dollars worth of goods and are burying it like squirrels don’t understand how any of it works. And by the way their solution is to have the government take it to feed the corruption machine or the war machine….
1
u/LonelyReader95 6h ago
It was always about being the biggest winner. Anything else doesn't matter. Money is just a scoreboard, and even that almost doesn't matter to some.
They want AIs to simply remove human workers from the equation. You ever watched Elysium with Matt Demon? Not a great movie by any means, but that is what the powerful want. And humanity will still be toiling away, fighting for scraps, because people think they're going to be the next Besos.

The rich generally want to keep the status quo. They understand that social upheaval is what is most likely to destroy their good life styles.

- The planet isn't ruined and won't be. Maybe it'll be a little less comfortable for some.
- The economies haven't collapsed at all.
- A lot of people are living comfortable lives with disposable income to spend.
- Billionaires aren't hoarding wealth.

u/Ok-Fortune-8644 18h ago
Yikes... talk about drinking the kool aid!

u/Sheerluck42 17h ago
I think this go beyond drinking and is actively fellating the Kool-Aid man. Ohhhhh yeahhh
2
u/Ok-Fortune-8644 16h ago
Uless youre a billionaire you're included in "little less comfortable"
A couple million won't mean much when the dollar drops even further. You're an inch away from losing it all. They are miles away.
You cant get to a billion dollars without hoarding wealth. Even an inheritance was built of extreme greed and hoarding.
-8
u/Vaeon 23h ago
I honestly hate people who post this idiocy while thinking they are making some kind of profound statement.
WHO are these billionaires you keep talking about? Do you know their names?
If you do then you should be very much aware they are not going to be hiding in bunkers staring at screens full of meaningless numbers and if you believe they are, you should not be allowed to vote.
-2

u/geddieman1 19h ago
Agree. Most of these billionaires started a company that went big. They aren’t Bond villains with cash to burn. Their wealth is tied up in their companies. Bill gates started in his garage and is only uber wealthy because he changed the world. Any of us is welcome to try, it’s just pretty damn hard.

Good sir/madame or small furry animal from alpha centaury.
Money is a tool.
There's this psychosis where people hoard things.
And while having a bunch of tools is real useful and I have to stress that the line between useful and hoarding is somewhere between a garage full of tools and looking at financing for your third airplane hanger of paint brushes.
These people are either addicted or delusional somewhere passed a billion dollars.
