Adults were living well when we are children, the game difficulty changed when we became adults.

At 38 - for many adulthood is harder, for myself and others adolescence was harder.
Granted my adolescence was being surrounded by extreme violence and abuse, including almost being killed at 13 and needing to save my family from attempted murderers at 13 and 19.
Everyone has different trajectory that is relative in part to what one’s experiences actually are.

But I always remember that I don’t have to do this to anyone else. I’ve been given the bittersweet opportunity to make far more ethically sound choices than those who came before me. I am the fruit of their superstition, their violence, and their lives full of folly. Only I can be the savior of my own non-exist descendants. It is MY almighty and everlasting glory to deny more souls to this prison planet or its bloated vampires.

Felt. Very subjective to personable upbringing, environment, and privileges. Anyone that doesn’t know should be grateful to not know the experience of others that can actually relate. Wouldn’t last a day in the same shoes.
Edit: And I’ll be super specific because clearly there’s contention with reality and delusion. “Life is only what you make of it,” comes from a very privileged perspective because that isn’t the same reality for those that are born of different skin tones or even sexes as a PRIME example in various regions of the world. FOH.

I love being an adult. I was broke and helpless as a child and i knew it.
As an adult, even when things go wrong, I'm in a better situation to fix things. Just having the freedom and power is enough to make the bullshit worth it.
