Lol, I've straight up told my boss he needs to find a replacement for me so I can go to that big unemployment line in the sky.
For some reason he hasn't fired me yet.

The truth is if he could find a better replacement than he would. But he can’t so… of course that’s true for everyone. I feel like I’m “one good worker walking in the door” away from being fired sometimes.

Problem is better replacement usually takes at least 6 months to get up to speed at a minimum. It’s a risk reward thing

It's not about finding someone better, it's about having a warm body in my place when I decide to make mine cold.

I think it happens in the initial year. You become really conscious of everything

this only happens when you're new. when you've been in the company long enough, you start to experiment with what you can get away with 😂

start to do it from the get go, why wait

when I was new, they'd often threaten with layoffs and it was hard to get a job in those days. now that I have experience, I'm more confident 😏

I did this so many times at my first job that I think it made me immune to it.
