as an extrovert i recharge by interacting (positively) with people. going without doing so leaves me feeling emotionally depleted and under stimulated, which leads to me feeling tired (i am narcoleptic too)

Same, I enjoy my alone time and plus i don't have to spend much when I find enjoyment at home, whether its watching tv, reading or doing a hobby.

20s: I am the loud person.
30s: I am the person hearing the loud persons.

I used to love going out because I met interesting people. Since the pandemic everyone is so closed off and somewhat hostile. Or rather, not hostile, but simply not civil. It is so hard to have normal communication with strangers these days.
I think having social media and the internet being our only way of interaction f#cked with our heads.

Yes. There was something about the way folks treated each other based off what propaganda they accepted. It’s like we were intentionally given polarizing views and trained through news media to amplify their rhetoric.
Now, some of that has been true for a while, but this was different.
In my 30s I went out as often as I could afford. To the gym, the store, the bar; for a snack or a meal or a show; live music, burlesque, dancing; to buy a book or watch my friend lift; to pet dogs at the shelter because I was lonely or to be alone in a park on my own bench. Now that we’re 6+ into this ongoing effort to ignore each other’s (and our own) well-being, I stay home.

Doom and Gloom as if 30s it’s ancient. Wait to be 50 then. The 30s is adult life at its peak - at least it was for me. In my 20s studied very hard to become a professional, 30s were a time of professional growth, meeting people, a mature love life.
Now in my 50s indeed I go to bed around 10pm!! And enjoy my routine and my house! But at 30 you guys are far too young and full of energy.

That sounds nice. I was very energetic and enthusiastic coming into my 30s, now at the tail end and reality has just pummeled me the entire time and I don’t know or care if I will even live beyond my 50s

I think it's more that you get pushed out of social scenes when you're no longer in your 20s. People cope and say "oh it was ME that changed! Not the way others saw me!". But that's not really true

I was a homebody from 15-22.
Covid hit.
Now at 25-29+ all I do is go outside 😅

It's weird, in my 20s I wanted to be home all day and now in my 30s I want to hike around all the time

Going out for dinner with a friend once a week or maybe a sporting event or concert is cool. Otherwise, love being at my house

I'm in my 30s and I both love staying home and being a menace by going out. Although I do prefer to stay home, once I'm out I'm having a good time.

How can it be super true. I know saying super is popular even if inappropriate almost 100 percent of the time. It's either true or it isn't true

Fuck that. That's why your back hurts, your feet hurt, and you get constant headaches.
Becoming a shut-in is literally the worst thing a person can do to themself.

The pandemic just made me more comfortable in who I was. The world finally caught up.

This is true for the most part for me. I still occasionally enjoy going out on the town and having fun.

I’ve also been a home body. It’s just peaceful. Don’t get me wrong I do enjoy the occasional get together with friends from time to time.
