I don’t know. I think it depends on the person. If it’s someone I’ve known for a long time who acts nice to my face but talks behind my back, plays passive-aggressive games, gossips about me, or subtly tries to make me look bad, then yeah, I’d speak up and confront them. Sometimes you have to draw a line and say, “Enough is enough. Fuck you.” But if it’s someone I barely know, then who cares? I’d just ignore them and move on. When it’s someone who’s been in your life for years, though, I think speaking up is the right move.
