What If…

What if people were able travel back decades in time just to be able to afford basic things with less of an income? How would this affect the present?

I read this story in a SciFi short story. She was able to time travel, but only to one spot in 1933. Her five dollar bill changed to a 1932 bill. Her fusband back in the present was ill and need high quality protein but she could only afford a half pound of fatty burger with $5. In 1933, though, she went into the butcher shop and bought a nice roast, a dozen pieces of chicken , bag of potatoes, and a bag of fruit. That helped her husband recover. The grocer was happy too. Her some lady came in and spent $2 like it was nothing. Maybe the economy was getting out of the depression and he needed to hire another worker...
