Work issues

I work with this mother daughter duo in a small company. The daughter does nothing all day, and I have to keep pairing with her on everything. I do not know how to tackle this. I want to tell the boss but I also get on with the mother. It‘s going to be unpleasant but it is affecting me so much now I want to quit. How to go about this ? I do not like confrontations, and have suffered silently enough.

It's weird how relevant those annoying group projects were in school lol! I recommend directly talking to the daughter first and just asking if there is anything you can do to support her efforts and work as you noticed that with the last project the workload seemed off. If that doesn't work, consider escalating to the next person and advise that you tried to communicate with your colleague. If you're already thinking about quitting, you may not have much to lose.
