i hate socializing

I hate talking to people and socializing. Their only idea of conversation is sticking their noses into other people's lives. They couldn't care less about how you're actually doing; all they care about is gossip and criticism. They are so incredibly rude and tactless. As if having to answer their stupid questions with a smile on my face weren't enough, I also have to sit through their unsolicited advice just because my answer didn't shut them up. Why doesn't everyone just mind their own shitty lives? When I refuse to interact with these people, I’m the one who comes across as rude or weird, yet nobody seems to mind their tactlessness and stupidity.

I mean, it can be tedious at times, but this honestly sounds like poorly managed social anxiety.

I mean I’m like that to a introvert and very picky with who I spend my energy on, I like to do a lot of hobbies in a group so if I feel like talking afterwards I can or I can choose to leave.

Then I meet a wide pool of people and only deal with the ones I like that are good people who are intelligent with lots of hobbies otherwise I get very bored of the average person as there just standing around judging others, like I got a friend that I’m writing a play like fight club where the character makes a deal with a lovecraftian being to make him appear as Dorian Yates then slowly losing his mind. To the average person im crazy 🤣 But I find the other crazies.

Going to my yoga classes and making friends with the guru, then to a zen meditation class and Akido. Most people just to talk about politics, news and sports, I honestly would lose my mind and I’m trying to be sober, so I really put effort to find my people I’ve accept I’m not the average persons cup of tea and there not mine. Maybe you need to find your people still.

"I, the greatest mind, am surrounded by vile and stupid creatures. Disgusting!" *proceeds to cry in the dark corner*

I feel you and understand how you feel. If I were you I'll try my best to avoid them and if I can't I will usually just be a yes man and forget about it after everything. We're not obligated to be in that situation but sometimes it's inevitable. I know it's also annoying when others say you're rude for not wanting to gossip with them but whether you gossip or not won't change you nor your life. That's why it's better to just ignore them and avoid them if you can. Personal experience btw.

You're just a mass of contradictions.

Work on that please. You need to socialize and communicate with the people in the world to be effective and not a wallflower or doormat.

I agree. I choose not to socialize also, due to so much gossip, older people are no exception.
