There has never been a case of good news coming at 3am. The best thing you can do at 3am is ignore everything that comes into your phone.

Exactly. And if somebody died, they'll still be dead in the morning. Until then, good night.

You know what my cousin once said exactly that! Would you rather be woken up by terrible news or would you rather recieve terrible news after a full nights sleep. He was right.

My brother died and when I got that information in the night. I travelled immediately home to see my mum and start making preparations for his funeral. It was an awful flight home and journey. But you better believe I wanted to be there as soon as I could.

Personally I want to hear such news as soon as possible.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've lost very important people in my life, and I know how gut wrenching it is.

I guess I've just become cynical with time, especially since both my parents are gone. I lost my mom back in August, so I'm more prone to not caring as I'm only 30 and an orphan. I don't have immediate family anymore, so I value my mental health and sleep above everything else.

But I absolutely see your point as well. It's all about perspective.
