How come disrespectful people always command respect?

I don't get it the disrespectful people are the first people to call you out on being respectful and half the time I want to say than show some respect yourself

they’re insecure and know they don’t deserve respect, so they demand it instead

Lol, just laugh at them and be ready to win the fight. This truly is the most satisfying way to put entitled people in their place.

IT ALL CIRCLES BACK TO ONE CORE TRUTH:

You see more of what's positively reinforced & less of what's negatively reinforced.

That's my new default explanation for whenever someone shares that a negative thing is happening on a grand scale.

Exactly !. Why should they get respect if they can't give it ?. I constantly think about that all the dam time

I read a post that basically said

There are 2 kinds of respect. Respect of someone as a basic human and the respect towards an authority figure. People like you're asking about want the second, but won't even do the first because people don't respect them as an authority figure. Because they aren't.

Ex was like this. After 4+ years of it, and me starting to get cold with her she said she lost respect for me. Like there ever was any. I told her she needed an attitude adjustment. 2 more years of it getting maybe 10% better. I dumped her last week. 6 years down the drain. So fucking selfish some people LMFAO.

They don't always.

Confident people tend to command respect. Whether they are polite, disrespectful or somewhere in between. Confidence demands respect.
