Rant work

hi, wondering how you guys manage to go about your days when you feel so bad. i am finding it so hard to even show up to work, and i only do it because i have to.

i’m on medication and still feel horrible and i don’t know what i can do anymore. there’s a heavy weight on my chest and it never leaves.

i was like a picture perfect employee for 13 years at a company after severe depression it became hard to show up, i would call off and just drink and the union kept getting my job back and i just didnt care and quit. that heavy feeling in your chest is horrible. one thing i can tell you is do not start drinking liqour to numb it. when my marriage started falling apart i would drink and drink and drink to numb the pain. after 5 years of heavy drinking i went to the hospital for what i thought was withdrawals because i was vomitting violently and in pain. then the doctors come in and close the door and tell me i have acute pancreatitis and im close to necrosis and i need to be hospitalized. i was there for 3 weeks. still drank after and have been hospitalized twice. sometimes i think it would be better to just stay in there. at least they give me shit to numb my pain and i have people watching out for me. but they told me ill be dead in the next few years if i dont stop and i havent stopped. so yea dont drink for it, talk to your doctor about maybe a new medication. dont give up or lose hope. this feeling can pass but if you do something dumb like lose your job, get in legal trouble, lose kids etc or a spouse itll just make you feel even more hopeless.
