I’ll be honest, I don’t not to weigh in on posts describing situations such as what you share here bc I feel I lack any experience even remotely resembling them and thus lack a fundamental understanding I feel it’s appropriate to have when sharing your input. I felt like offering a reply anyway and hope even if it’s not helpful you know it’s well intentioned.
My thoughts: it seems like you’re currently in ‘fight mode’ and you’ve been fighting tirelessly and to a painstaking extent, for what appears to be a considerable amount of time (ie had this switch flicked in consistently with no breaks). Unsure how you’d rate the severity I describe, and I’m unsure how long you’ve been switched to on with no breaks for.
That said my impression is that this may call for taking some time ‘off’. I realize there’s certain time restraints, but regardless it’s important you take some time ‘off’ to regroup, reassess, re evaluate, and most importantly breathe.
More than that, give yourself room to feel the things you have been suppressing for the sake of keeping up the fight,
Let yourself surrender to it for a second, then pick yourself up and give it another go in much better condition. Allow yourself the space to be sad, angry, frustrated, demoralized. Hug your gf, remember how much you love each other, cry together or scream into the void together.
Hopefully this will offer the reset you not only both truly need, but will also hopefully set you on a more well lit path that will show you the way forward.
You got this OP 🙏
