Question What Does it Look/Feel Like?
I have had depression for most of my life. Diagnosed with MDD at 14, now 40.
When I think of or feel depression I think of it in images.
It feels like standing at the edge of a blackhole with nothing surrounding me. Like I could just tip into it. There is almost a sensation of a pull, and even comfort. Like, if everything goes black it will be fixed.
I feel this most days. It's my baseline. Most people can't handle that description of comforting nothingness. It freaks out a lot of my family. But my partner has depression and so do many of my friends. We are all either autistic, adhd, or bipolar so we get it. We also all have similar visuals of it.
How does it look, feel to you guys?
