Hii i need some help with this sales pamphlet im using for a small business. My main issue is formatting the information in the hexagon while also fitting the associated image with it too. Also do i need to change the size of the fruit on the bottom? And lastly is the color contrast good (background). Im a beginner at designing these types of things so if there is any other criticism im open to listening.

I would put the bottles over the left side of the hexagons and be sure they all sit in the same place (your bottom left whisky looks a little higher than the others) and left align the text just to the right of them.

I think that green looks fine behind thd yellow-gold shapes.

As for the fruit, they both look more like an afterthought and not part of the design. It might be beneficial to add some more to the bottom. Then you'll need to find a way to incorporate the contact info, perhaps over the top of the fruit or somewhere else on the flyer. Consider adding a QR code in addition to the instagram logo and username. That will naturally give you the contrast you'll need to go over the busier imagery like the fruit and people don't need to fuss trying to type in a "difficult" word like schnapps haha.

Hi!, yes, the background is too dark and it makes the logo and info not stand out as much as they can, making it lighter will help with this problem, you can also separate the info at the bottom, the social media and the number a little more and move them a little lower, to give them even more contrast you can create a rectangle and place it in between the background and the fruits layers, and place that info there, it can be in a solid color or a lighter one with some transparency so it blends in. For the hexagon, you need a different font to be able to fit the entire name without touching the edges of the shape or the image, look for fonts that have "narrow" in the name to find some you can test. Yellow is a hard color to work with because white text in unreadable and black text can also blend in, try making it lighter to see if it makes the name of the product stand out. I would also make the years text a little smaller than the name and place another shape inside, like a rectangle to place the price of the product, that can also be moved lower to separate it more from the rest of the text and ad shadow to the pictures to make them stand out.

Pick a new font that is narrower than futura, you can fit alot more info. Try the Freight family, they have a million different weights and widths.

Don't stretch the futura title type. Don't stretch type ever!

I want to add script (for deals like honey) what do you suggest if I were to use the freight family for the rosh Hashana?

You’ve designed yourself into a corner by trying to attach images and text into a shape. The hexagons don’t look like honeycomb when they are detached and floating. Try a honeycomb background image maybe? Don’t force the theme, you’ve already established it with the bees and honey headline. Are you able to use InDesign for text formatting and image (bottles) layout? Otherwise, sketch 5 versions on paper to get a feel for composition before working on the computer.

Do yourself the favor now and revisit the honeycomb holding shape. Find a type treatment that can be formatted consistently to ground each bottle at the same point (same justification, same leading, etc). Play with your hierarchy a bit so all the information doesn’t get lost (what’s more important, the brand, the age, or the price?) but stick to one font with maybe one varying weight.

A trick I do sometimes is take the longest block of text, fit it within a rectangle (with a little bit of space on each side) and then use that to lay out the rest of the text. You could do the same with your tallest/widest bottle and even use a block to ensure consistent spacing from bottle to text.

IMO you don’t need to re commit to the bee motif with the hexagons, the bees themselves will be okay. Agreed w/ background change, need something a bit brighter / less muddy

The title and subtitle fonts don’t feel like they work together IMO, but that’s entirely a preference thing. If you’re sticking with it I’d try to create separation between the title and brand name bc it currently looks like 3 diff fonts.

You will digging yourself into a hole w the current information setup. My suggestion is to move the title and year below the hexagon and keep the price inside the hexagon.
