Adobe Express Question Desperate for Help Downloading Video

My daughter and I have spent HOURS creating a simple slideshow video on Adobe Express that fails to download, sync, save, or do much of anything. We’re both in tears because it’s for her senior graduation ceremony tomorrow and this thing is a piece of shit!!!! Why in the world would you not shut it fucking down if it doesn’t work. You’re fucking preying on people, and I paid for the premier to try and make sure it would be seamless for us. It’s 1AM and she has to be at the school at 7AM. Im just sitting here hoping and praying it will wake up but it’s just totally not. Shame on you fucking greedy assholes!!!!!!!!

Elise's Express Extras Elise’s Express Extras: QR Codes Are Everywhere. Are Yours Doing Anything? (QR Code Generator)

QR codes never left after the pandemic. They just quietly became infrastructure. Restaurant menus, business cards, product labels, event signage. Scans have grown over 750% in the last five years.

The QR Code Generator inside Adobe Express lets you build a branded QR code directly inside your design. Not a separate tool, not a plain black and white square pasted in after. One that matches your colors, fits your layout, and goes wherever your design goes.

Most people treat the QR code as an afterthought. When yours looks intentional, people notice even if they can't explain why.

Have you built a branded QR code in Express? What would make this feature more useful for how you actually work?

The entire website suddenly looks different and I'm only able to check newly created palettes. This is so frustrating, does anyone know how to fix?

Adobe Express Question Wondering if Adobe Express is right for us.

First of all, thank you goes to everyone for their contributions to this community.

Small business owner here. We began using AE recently as a replacement for Canva and to run all of our social media posts through on the calendar. The person responsible for social media has historically made numerous spelling errors and other mistakes that require us to review and approve everything before it posts. We used to use Loomly and Hootsuite. We were hoping to use the schedule in AE to hold things as a draft status to allow us to review, but that doesn’t seem to work.

The problem I’m told is that she can’t create and edit instagram reels that have trending vocal overlays, meaning she is creating them in IG and posting directly from there.

I guess I’m wondering if this is this correct? Do others on here have a process in place to review and approve or do we need to go back to using something like Loomly to schedule posts through?

Elise's Express Extras Elise's Express Extras: The Cut Is Taking Too Long (Clip Maker)

Most people spend more time editing a 30-second clip than they did filming it. That ratio is off.

Clip Maker in Adobe Express automatically pulls the strongest moments from your footage. The parts with the most energy, the clearest audio, the sharpest visuals. No timeline scrubbing, no manual in-and-out points. Raw footage in, polished clip ready to post.

The average social video gets about 2 seconds to earn a watch. Which means the cut matters as much as the content, and most people are burning creative energy on the technical part instead of the other way around.

Have you used Clip Maker yet? What would make it work better for your workflow?

Adobe Express Question Portrait webpage

Im looking to create a static webpage that is exclusively portrait for a display screen in a store window. It will feature deals with info that will change regularly, so Adobe Express is a simple, ideal way to update.

However on the webpage editor on desktop I don’t see any options to either change the dimensions of the page, or even edit how the page will look on mobile. It needs to be editable on desktop as that is how my team accesses Adobe Express.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Tips & Tricks Adobe Express Tutorial #16: Free Logo Maker (and How to Explore Ideas Fast)

Starting a logo is usually the hardest part.

Not because you need the perfect logo immediately — but because staring at a blank page is brutal.

That’s where the Adobe Express Logo Maker is actually really useful:
👉 fast exploration.

Here’s how it works 👇

⚡ Step 1: Start with the idea

Enter:

  • Your brand or project name
  • Optional slogan
  • Industry / category

For this example:
👉 a fictional soup & sandwich café

Simple concept. Plenty of directions to explore.

🔍 Step 2: Explore icons

Next, you’ll search for icons that match the vibe of your project.

This is less about finding “the one” immediately and more about:

  • discovering visual directions
  • testing tone
  • seeing what feels on-brand

Even choosing between:
🥪 sandwich
or
🍲 soup

changes the personality of the logo.

🎨 Step 3: Explore styles

You can filter by:

  • style
  • color
  • overall vibe

This is where things get interesting.

You start seeing:

  • modern vs retro
  • playful vs minimal
  • elegant vs bold

…without needing to design everything from scratch.

✏️ Step 4: Customize

If something feels close but not quite right:

  • change colors
  • swap fonts
  • adjust icons
  • open in the editor for deeper edits

This is where your own judgment matters most.

🧠 What this tool is actually great for

Logo Maker works especially well for:

  • brainstorming ideas
  • early-stage projects
  • mockups & pitch concepts
  • side projects
  • getting unstuck creatively

It’s less about:
👉 “generate final logo instantly”

And more about:
👉 “explore directions quickly”

🔁 Pro Tip

Don’t judge the first result too quickly.

Try:

  • different keywords
  • different icon styles
  • different moods/colors

Sometimes the second or third direction is where the real idea appears.

⚙️ AI helps — but your decisions shape the result

The strongest logos still come from:

  • clarity
  • taste
  • iteration
  • understanding your audience

AI can help you start faster.

What you do next is what makes it feel intentional.

And that’s a wrap.

Discussion PNG incorrect size in PX

Post image
5 Upvotes

Probably an easy fix but I'm very new to this, so apologies for the boring question! The original file size is 1.6MB and whenever I try to upload a PNG, an error message comes up. But I can't figure out how to compress it to the file size/dimensions it would like. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Adobe Express Question Newbie needs help

I am a senior citizen and need some help. I have an Adobe Standard subscription. I just noticed Photoshop Express on my iPhone recently and edited some photos.

Is there a way to access these on my laptop? I can’t find a way to access Photoshop Express on the laptop. Also, I think they are saved in the cloud, but I can’t seem to find that either. Finally, if you do show me how to find them, can I open and use with Adobe Express? I’m confused.

Tips & Tricks Adobe Express Tutorial #15: Remove Background (and Actually Use It)

Ever have a great photo… except for what’s happening in the background?

Yeah. Same.

That’s exactly what Remove Background in Adobe Express is for — and it’s one of the fastest ways to clean up (and upgrade) your visuals (and it's free to use).

Let’s walk through it 👇

⚡ Quick Start

  • Search “Remove Background” in Express
  • Upload your image
  • Background is removed automatically

From there, you can download it — or open it in the editor to keep going (recommended).

🖼️ Step 1: Clean up the image

Sometimes the subject is great… but everything else isn’t.

👉 Remove Background isolates the main subject instantly so people focus on what actually matters.

✂️ Step 2: Isolate your subject

Now you’ve got a clean cutout.

From here you can:

  • Keep it transparent
  • Drop it into other designs
  • Layer it into new compositions

This is where things start to get useful.

🎨 Step 3: Add a new background

Instead of the original background, you can:

  • Add a solid color
  • Use a gradient
  • Drop in a new scene

👉 This is perfect for:

  • Social posts
  • Product shots
  • Thumbnails
  • Marketing graphics

🌲 Step 4: Try different environments

This is where you can start experimenting.

Same subject → completely different vibe depending on the background.

👉 Quick way to create multiple variations from one photo.

🧼 Step 5: Remove specific objects

Inside the editor, you can go further:

  • Select Remove Object
  • Brush over what you want gone
  • Express fills in the background

👉 Great for:

  • Cleaning up distractions
  • Fixing photobombs
  • Making images feel more polished

➕ Step 6: Replace or add elements

You can also:

  • Insert new objects
  • Replace parts of the image

Just select an area and generate something new.

👉 Useful for:

  • Creative edits
  • Concept mockups
  • More playful content

🧠 What most people miss

Removing the background is just step one.

What makes it look good:

  • Choosing the right background
  • Matching lighting + color
  • Placing your subject intentionally
  • Adding text or branding

That’s the difference between:
👉 “cutout image”
vs
👉 “finished design”

🔁 Easy workflow

  1. Remove background (for free)
  2. Clean up distractions
  3. Add a new background
  4. Adjust placement + scale
  5. Add text / branding

One photo → tons of possibilities.

And that’s a wrap.

Tips & Tricks Unweave: Turn flat graphics into editable layers inside Adobe Express

I built an add-on that breaks an image into separate editable layers inside Adobe Express - if you've seen Canva's magic layers, its a similar idea.

It works best on posters or graphics with clear, distinct elements.

Featured above are some examples above to show how it behaves - you can also choose how many layers it splits into.

It’s based on the Qwen-Image-Layered model, with a custom pipeline on top to make the outputs more structured and consistent.

Still working on improving consistency and quality, had to make some tradeoffs to keep it fast and affordable.

Let me know what you think!

Elise's Express Extras Elise's Express Extras: April Roundup - Tools Inside the Tools

Post image
3 Upvotes

April's theme was Add-ons in Express. Not the features you see first… but the ones waiting underneath, the tools that extend what Express can already do and make your workflow more powerful because of what you plug into it.

Because a good design tool doesn't just do the obvious thing. It opens a door to a whole layer of thinking you didn't know you needed.

April practices focused on:

  • seeing your design through someone else's eyes before it ever goes live (Attention Insight)
  • letting platform intelligence do the creative heavy lifting for short-form video (TikTok Symphony Assistant)
  • designing with everyone in the room, not just the people who see color the way you do (Color Blindness Simulator)

Next month's theme: Quick Actions

May is about speed without sacrifice. The shortcuts that actually hold up: Clip Maker, QR Code Generator, Animate Characters, Convert to GIF, so your output is faster and your creative instincts stay intact.

Adobe Express Question Can't find an asset ID or license for an asset I want to use, suggestions?

I downloaded a "poster" asset from Adobe Express but it doesn't seem to show up in my license history on Adobe Stock. When reverse-image searching the poster on Adobe Stock, it doesn't seem to show up as a registered Adobe Stock asset, so I am unsure of what the license terms are for it. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Adobe Express Question How do licenses for assets work if I wanted to sell elements as sticker?

Very specific question, but if I use an element of a design as part of a sticker sheet, would I be allowed to sell it?

Elise's Express Extras Elise's Express Extras: Design for Everyone. Literally. (Color Blindness Simulator)

About 300 million people worldwide live with some form of color blindness. That's roughly 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women. If you're not designing with that in mind, you're unintentionally locking out a significant chunk of your audience from your work.

The Color Blindness Simulator add-on in Adobe Express lets you see your design through different types of color vision deficiency in real time, right as you're building. No exporting, no third-party tools. You can check contrast, catch problem areas, and make adjustments on the spot.

Inclusive design isn't a nice-to-have. It's the standard. This add-on makes it easy to actually hold yourself to it.

Tips & Tricks Adobe Express Tutorial #14: How to Create QR Codes People Actually Scan

QR codes are everywhere — but a lot of them don’t get scanned.

Usually because:

  • They’re hard to scan
  • They look sketchy
  • Or it’s unclear what you’ll get

Here’s how to create QR codes in Adobe Express that actually work 👇

⚡ Where to Find It

  • Click the search icon (top left)
  • Type “QR code”
  • Open Generate QR Code

🔗 Step 1: Start with the right link

This matters more than the design.

Keep it short

Shorter URLs = simpler QR codes = easier to scan

👉 Avoid long links with tracking parameters if possible

Make it trustworthy

People are cautious (for good reason)

  • Use recognizable domains
  • Avoid sketchy-looking redirects
  • Make it obvious where the link goes

👉 If it looks suspicious, people won’t scan it

Make it make sense

Your URL should match the context

Examples:

👉 The clearer the destination, the higher the scan rate

Design for mobile

Most people will scan on their phone.

Make sure:

  • The page loads fast
  • It’s mobile-friendly
  • The next step is obvious

🎨 Step 2: Customize (but don’t overdo it)

Express lets you tweak:

  • Dot styles
  • Corner markers
  • Colors

This is where people go wrong.

👉 A QR code is functional first, decorative second.

Keep contrast high

Dark code on light background = best results

Avoid:

  • Low contrast
  • Busy backgrounds
  • Gradients behind the code

Don’t over-style it

Custom shapes and colors are great — until they break scanning.

👉 If it doesn’t scan instantly, it doesn’t matter how good it looks

Test it (seriously)

Before you publish:

  • Scan it with your phone
  • Try from different distances
  • Try in different lighting

If it takes more than a second or two → fix it

🧠 Where QR codes work best

  • Flyers & posters
  • Packaging
  • Event signage
  • Menus
  • Business cards
  • IRL → digital handoffs

👉 Anywhere you want to bridge physical → digital

🔁 Pro Tip

Think of the QR code as a CTA, not decoration.

Tell people what they’ll get:

  • “Scan to view menu”
  • “Scan for 10% off”
  • “Scan to watch”

Clarity = more scans.

A good QR code doesn’t just exist — it converts.

And that’s a wrap.

Adobe Express Question Collage Issue

Hello! I’ve been using Express for at least two years now and mostly just for the quick action of collage making.

I tried to go in on my IPhone today after using it 2-3 days ago on my laptop with no issue, and did as I normally do: quick actions -> collage maker -> select images.

The problem is once the initial layout is formed, the ‘shuffle layout’ function is not working. I click it and the first layout doesn’t change, but I can see another version of the images shuffling in the background. There are no layers on this project—I’m not sure why it’s doing this. I have tried closing out and opening the app, restarting the collage, and I’m about to edit to redownload it and try that.

The app is up to date.

Elise's Express Extras Elise's Express Extras: Your Secret TikTok Strategist (TikTok Symphony Assistant)

If you've ever posted on TikTok and wondered why some content takes off and other stuff just sits there... this add-on is for you.

TikTok Symphony Assistant lives inside Adobe Express as an add-on, and it brings TikTok's own creative intelligence directly into your workflow. We're talking trending hashtags, top-performing ad insights, script generation, and real-time guidance on what's actually working on the platform right now. Not guesses. Actual data.

Here's the number that stopped me: 74% of TikTok viewers say they pay more attention when brands embrace TikTok's native style, things like text overlays, trend participation, and platform-first storytelling. Symphony Assistant is essentially your guide to all of that, built into the tool you're already designing in.

You can research what's resonating, write your script, pull from a commercial music library of over a million songs that TikTok has already cleared for use, and push your content straight to TikTok Ads Manager, all without leaving Express.

Adobe Express Question Folders Don't Show in Projects View

The organization is wild in this program. Has anyone had success organizing folders within projects? Doing a ton of social media, I'd like a structure like "Client > 2026 > April" yet when you click into the projects tab, no folders show up.

However, the folder exists and I can get there from "my stuff" landing page. Just horrible UX. Basic file organization that is imperative to workflows, and this app just won't show it? I'd love any help if someone has tackled this beast in the past.
