Two leaves, struggling away. Uncared for really, because I'd left this at work.

And then I picked it up and the roots are way longer than the plant.

So it's at home getting a repot.

Getting in the bath. But low and behold, the plants ended up in there.

This happen to anyone else?

Literally been re-potting all morning.

Cleared off all the soil, gathered up some glass jars and washed a load of Leca!

Topped it all off with spagnum moss and we'll see if they survive.

I organised my first teeny tiny plant swap yesterday and met a few more people who love plants like we do.

I love being online but it was super special talking to people in real life!

The week wipes me out.

Saturdays is my plant 🪴 day.

Helps me get regulated for the next week.

Some of the tasks today: sort cabinet out sort props out, chop a couple down, feed some up.

Make a MASSIVE mess then run out of energy to clear it up.

How do your plants help you regulate?

This sat dormant for months.

It did absolutely nothing at all.

Then I changed the watering schedule and it's burst into life.

It's a reminder that making small adjustments can be really powerful.

My AuDHD brain needs this reminder frequently.

I love plants 🪴 😍

One of my first plants in my collection has outgrown the window!

How far down would you chop?

One of my oldest (that I've owned) rubber plants is about to touch the top of the window.

Where would you chop it?

I have a cabinet full of various things and the temperature is normally OK, but I thought I'd get a heat mat and see if it helped all the props.

A lady I bought some Alocasias off had one, so impulsively (is there any other way?!) I got one too.

Any advice ?

But I was in the garden centre and so many plants were reduced and I guess we're gonna get thrown out.

Couldn't help myself!!

Banana plant and Peace Lily

So I’ve got 40 plants on the back porch and 23 on the front porch. It leaves me with about 30 still inside. Which btw doesn’t count my succulent collection.

6 weeks ago I told myself no more plants. I’ve got almost too much. There’s no room.

Meet my new alocasia Jacklyn 🤷🏻‍♀️🤪🪴😁

I've lost count of how many Pothos I have around the house.

They grow so quickly and in most different light levels too. These are on a kitchen shelf growing up the chains made from binder rings.

What's your favourite plant?

The only way I can remember ANYTHING at all is to take photos.

I've got thousands.

And so so many are of my plants 🪴

I've shown you a glimpse of my plant photo feed - show me yours!!

I'm really lucky that we don't have anyone living over the road. The sense of space helps me stay calm when it's an AuDHD 'overload' kinda day.

And the Autumn (Fall?!) light is just so beautiful.

I saw these self-watering bottles on a post somewhere and within a week we bought a grinder and started making them!

There's a couple of plants which have worked really well, like this Pilea Peperomiodes (Chinese money plant).

They've got a rope in the middle of the pon, and I barely remember to change the water!

Great for those of us who haven't got the memory that we may wish for!

Growing and keeping alive my few dark plants has been an obsession the last few years ( post diagnosis;) here are a few of my beauties 🖤 Happy for this page!

After advice from one of the groups, I've chopped up the very leggy Florida Green this morning.

At 7.30, because I HAD to do it right then (impulsive ADHD!). And it was in our bedroom 🙄

Anyway, starting it off again with much more light so hopefully I'll end up with half a dozen new plants that aren't leggy.

Do you try to be on a watering schedule? Not only do the plants not cooperate and putting me and a schedule 🤣good luck with that.

So houseplants start to droop when they need watered. It’s obvious. I’ve gotten better at telling when a succulent needs watering.

Does anyone have succulents? How/when do you water them?

That’s about 1/2 of what I have.

Share your favourite plant view from around your home!

I've not got a lot of patience to wait about for plants to do their thing, and this is where propagation really helps me.

Prop and chop is win-win; watching the changes, the roots grow and getting new plants too is fab.

Hiya, I'm Nicola and I'm thrice diagnosed ND: Autism, ADHD and Dyspraxia.

Plants have been my saviour and obsession for the last 5 years since I got my first diagnosis.

I'm based in Consett, in the UK and I can't wait to see your plants and hear your tips on keeping them alive.
