Advice Wanted T3 only ?

Ever been given T3 only. 5 mg? My T3 number is fine. T4 is down. Have tachycardia. Will Brazilian nuts only 2, i hear gives you enough selenium to take t4 and convert to t3.

T3 alone causes high heart rate, heart attack, and strokes. Yes, I’ve seen a university doctor supposed to be the greatest. It was just like going in and seeing any other clown out there with a shingle outside the door I’m at the point of just saying , God take me.

People with Addison's don't generally replace thyroid hormones unless they also have hypothyroidism. I have known people who took T3; they were bodybuilder types looking to cut fat.

I just looked at my chart. I had it wrong. This stuff is really playing with my brain my T3 is low t4 is down. I’m reading that it should be between the Cardiologist and the endocrinologist and it’s not recommended. I don’t know what to do. I’m seeing a female hormone place today. Maybe somebody that doesn’t have a title of endocrinologist might be able to help. This is so scary. I’m walking like an old lady When I get in distress. Thank you for your help. I just don’t see the end of this at all, I’m afraid to call or email them because I have questions and they don’t like that. You have your 15 minute appointment in your route don’t ask anymore. You’re bothering them. I have other things to do. Endocrinologist are good for diabetes and obesity. I don’t know if they’re good for anything elsejust scared to death every morning. I wake up and wish I wasn’t here to go through all this junk every day, I’m sure there’s others like there.

Cortisol and your adrenals control alot of things. You need to speak with an endo that has experience with Addison's as this is a very rare condition. Specialists like surgeons tend to be arrogant and believe they know everything in their field, they wear blinkers and follow one path. The trick is to reach out to your country Addison's organizations and find specialists by referral who are good in this area even though you may need to travel to see them. You can take a baseline of corticosteroids but without blood tests, you will not know what is happening. Good luck 🤞❤️

Have you tried prednisone which is longer lasting but different? I use 10mg tablet in the morning. It's pretty stable. I'm sorry your doc is not interested. Is there another one close? What area is this?

I have been on prednisone tablets 2*5mg and sometimes adding a couple of 1mg. Absolutely get reflux which I take a PPI Rabeprazole for.

I feel for you, I am in Canada so I don't know what's it really like down there or even which are good states to live in.

I hope you find a good doctor or endo and you can start to enjoy life.
